Default Do Mick and John ever sing?

There are a couple of songs that have a deeper man's voice on them, and it doesn't sound like Lindsey's voice being manipulated. The ones I can think of right now are Hold Me (that "come on and" part), Save Me a Place, and Tusk. Is it Mick or John or someone else?

Well, during the Dance it says it's John's "first time ever..." singing...and you can't really even hear him lol....and as far as I know Mick doesn't sing either...

I've often thought it could be Mick on Hold Me. But in the end it's probably Lindsey up to his same old tricks. Take the similar effect in perennial Ledge favourite, Family Man.

As for Mick ever singing, there is the matter of something called The Lizard People song I believe, not to mention These Strange Times. But I'll leave that to those who have endured the 'songs' first-hand! They sound interesting at best.

John sings backup on the Mirage outtake of "Cool Waters."

Yes, I believe that's John on "Cool Water". As for "Lizard People" & "These Strange Times", the less said the better.

I like both LP & TST.

That's Lindsey on the "Come on and" part, and if you ask me, very identifiably so. Mick doesn't really sing on These Strange Times. He just talks.

I've watched Say You Love Me over and over trying to figure out WHAT John is actually singing!...and I'm getting nothing!

It kinda looks like he's just moving his mouth with the notes on the bass.

That's exactly what he's doing.

He's singing and playing the bass notes at the same time. Unfortunately the level of his bass guitar is so high compared to his vocal line that you can hardly hear him. (Somehow I doubt that was an accident.)

I can't really hear him...and I rarely even pull the CD from the shelf, so I don't have much to go on, but John's credited for singing background vocals on his John McVie's Gotta Band album.

Well, if John is singing the bass line, just going "do, dodo," etc. then of course you won't be able to tell that he's singing anything. I think you CAN hear him because it sounds like a double bass going, at least to me.

What about "Real savage-like......" from Tusk? Is that just Lindsey screwing with gadgets in the studio again?

You can tell that's Lindsey.

I've not heard Lizard People or These Strange Times. What is Lizard People?

Yep. I believe it is. If there's a strange voice, chances are it's Lindsey
