Question Christine's Video Album

I asked for Chris's video album for Christmas, and i am pretty sure I will get it, but I still don't know what to expect, is it music videos, or a live concert? What would you rate it? I also asked for the Stevie Nicks In Concert HBO show.. I've heard it was great, I can't believe I don't already have it So, what would you rate the two... Just curious, how do I Need To Know and Standback sound?

I don't know about Stevie's HBO concert since I've never seen it. But, I have a VHS copy of Christine's video album and it's terrific. She did a live concert that originally aired on MTV nearly 20 years ago. Here is the set list:

Love Will Show Us How
Keeping Secrets
The Challenge
Who's Dreaming This Dream?
I'm The One
So Excited
Got A Hold On Me
One In A Million
You Make Loving Fun
Don't Stop
World Turning
Songbird

These songs are all from the live concert except "Love Will Show Us How" and "Got A Hold On Me". These 2 songs are the videos that aired on MTV years ago. Billy Burnette is in her band alongwith Todd Sharpe, George Hawkins & Steve Ferrone. Mick joined the band for the Fleetwood Mac songs near the end of the show. I hope you get it and I hope you like it.

This makes me so wish I could just forget everything I've seen and heard from the Mac and discover them all over again. I remember having so much fun watching the In Concert special before I knew it second for second. I still have fun watching it, but it's just not the same. I can actually remember watching it because I wanted to get to know Stevie's solo stuff for when she came around for the Enchanted tour (which I ended up missing anyway), and I must have pipe-dreamed that there was a song on In Concert called Celestial. It ended up being Golden Braid, and I REALLY have no idea how I got these titles confused. But just to let you know, the In Concert is worth the watch just for Golden Braid (or Gold and Braid, whichever), and the rest is very good. The only disappointment is an edited version of Outside the Rain...the second verse is taken out. But, I believe you will enjoy.

I always thought that is was very odd the way Outside the Rain was edited like that. Also, I can understand why they would edit the concert for TV (like they did for The Dance), but why couldn't they have included the entire concert on video?

I would love for a DVD to be issued that had the whole concert...but that is wishing thinking. At least we got the performance of Leather and Lace from that show on the "I Can't Wait" video collection. But so many other great rarely performed songs were cut:

Bella Donna
Think About It
After The Glitter Fades
How Still My Love
Blue Lamp

Same goes for the DVD reissue of Red Rocks. They should have added the rest of the songs performed. We really get the short end of the stick when it comes to Stevie/Fleetwood Mac product. I see so many other (sometimes lesser) groups/artists that put out full concerts. And now, with the capacity of DVD...we aren't getting market value for our money.
