Default That song that creeps up on you...

What is a Mac song that you've known for a long time and certainly enjoyed...but it never REALLY HIT you until later? My most recent one is Never Forget. Always liked it, but then...BAM! An OBSESSION song!

"What a wonderful night to be
The stars must be my friends to shine for me"

I love that!

It was Over & Over for me. Never though ttwice about it after I first heard it, but it didn't take long for me to fall head over & over heels for it.

Say Goodbye is my 2nd least favorite track on SYW (no song could beat the album's title tack...) but watching them perform it live gave me a totally different perspective of looking at it, wish i had a decent live recording of this one, coz i still can't stand the studio version.

Most of the ladies' stuff on Tusk, thanks to the miserable '80s cd pressing that I have. Listening to the vinyl version on a good turntable was a religious experience. Damn that Buckingham, putting all that stuff in there!

Beautiful Child - I always thought of it as a great song on the Tusk album, but I didn't realise just HOW great it is until the final few shows in the U.K. At the final night in Earls Court, Stevie was 100% on it (LB and SN's harmonies were AMAZING) and I have to admit I had a lump in my throat during the song. It's now definitely jumped into my top 5 SN songs, along with Storms, GDW, SOTM, and Gypsy.

This tour changed my mind completely on "Beautiful Child" too. All kinds of crucial stuff like the electric lick just jumped out of the mix. The harmonies were more attractive on the album though. But I guess it's also the only song in the set that Stevie is completely into these days. That's what some have been saying anyway.

It's in my Nicksian top five too, after this tour.

Tusk and Brown Eyes. Now that I've heard Tusk live I really like the song's energy. I think it's better live than on the album. And since I've heard some bootlegs of Brown Eyes I just love the harmonies and appreciate the song more.

Well before I heard them live, I just thought that Stand Back and GYOW were mediocre pop songs, but they just explode live! I love them now, but much more on live versions!

Hmmmm... songs that I didn't like at first but now I adore... I suppose those could be "Eyes Of The World" and "Wish You Were Here".

Eyes of the World and Beautiful Child. Hearing them on this tour were real eye openers for me. I now play them constantly.

Songs that have crept up on me and I fell in love with were two Christine songs, these were songs I tended to skip or ignore but when I gave them a chance back in 1988 they have been favorites since....Prove Your Love and Warm Ways.

Silver Girl

JUST KIDDING!!

okay, seriously, it would have to be "Big Love" from The Dance. I never really liked this song when it came out on TITN but once I heard the acoustic version I REALLY started to like this song, and the line, "I wake up alone with it all/ I wake up, but only to fall" is just killer. There's some real desperation in that song that I never got from the TITN version that comes through loud and clear in the acoustic one.
