Default Blurb in Classic Rock, Sept '03

I don't think this was posted before. I just happened across this blurb today while I was browsing magazines in a bookstore. It's from last month's Classic Rock magazine.

FLASHBACK

This candid photograph of then new Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks was taken in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1975, at the time when the album "Fleetwood Mac" was tearing up the charts.

"I was working for US rock magazine Creem," Classic Rock photographer Fin Costello recalls. "And the brief was to get as many shots of Stevie as possible - at that time she was the most glamorous singer of the day. We borrowed a couple of unusual cars for the shoot, but I couldn't get her to leave her dog out of the photos, and we spent a fair amount of the time chasing it around the studio and the gig - where this shot was taken.

"While Fleetwood Mac were on stage the dog kicked up a terrific row in the dressing room, and the looks of murderous intent on the faces of the road crew were priceless. Having artists take partners on the road was never seen as a good idea, but taking a dog along was something else altogether."

Not just you. She does sorta look like her there.

That's funny because Kristen looks a lot like Rosanna Arquette, IMO.

Except Stevie is MUCH more beautiful than Rosanna Arquette, either version. ::wink, wink::

Now, this puppy isn't the infamous Ginny, is it? Ginny was a poodle, but I am pretty sure she still had Ginny at this time. This must have been a new addition. It looks like a yorkie.

I tell ya... Stevie and her dogs! *hehehe*

I don't care what anyone says, though... dogs are like children to their owners.
Nothing wrong with doting on your pets.

Thanks for posting that, Les!

You're welcome. Sharon, yes, the picture of Stevie takes the full page. Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee of Motley Crue are on the cover with the title "Most Dangerous Band in the World?"

That's a Yorkie for sure. I don't think it's the best pic of Stevie, but I imagine that some day we'll be rushing to download video of Stevie chasing her dog during this shoot.
