Default The most DREADED topic Of ALL!!!

Well someone had to bring it up...might as well be me, the infinite trouble starter:

Who thinks we'll see another Fleetwood Mac album? If so, when do you think we'll see it surface? How many more albums do you predict from the Mac?

I think we may get one more album. Possibly one more tour. Hopefully within the next 3 years.

One more Mac album, two more Mac tours (but not at the scale of this one), three more Stevie albums, and three more Stevie tours. Those are my guesses. But we won't get another mac album for five years.

And, of course, you had to bring up this topic while I'm listening to Buckingham Nicks!!

I don't think there will be another FM album...

Stevie solo two times- then retirement... THEN (in my dreams)

1) A Stevie autobiography explaining EVERYTHING

AND

2) A Stevie retrospective with ALL the great demos redone with a band.....

Well, I can dream, can't I??????????

Don't think we'll see another Mac album or tour. I think Stevie will definitely do one more solo album and tour. After that, I think she'll probably hang it up.

Default What?!

Why does no one think there will be another album? Lindsey has said on NUMEROUS occasions that he hopes they do another one. I think if he's behind, everyone else will be. He wants to write songs with Stevie again "from the ground up." I think it's possible we'll see one more Mac album, one more Stevie and album and possibly a Lindsey album. If we get 2/3 of those I'll die happy.

I believe another FM album, but probably not another big tour. Stevie has at least one more in her, possible two.

Both Lindsey and Stevie have said on many occasions that they still want to make music after this tour is finished, so I don't see why they wouldn't combine their efforts into another Fleetwood Mac project. They both still have a whole load of songs that are in demo form, and I'm sure they've written many recently, perhaps even during this tour.

If another Fleetwood Mac project does come into existence, I don't expect the album to be out until at least 2006, and I'm pretty certain that the SYW tour will be the last ever international Fleetwood Mac tour. (Not that that would be a problem, gives me an excuse to visit the States again.)

Seteca, I completely agree with you-- this tour has been so successful, and relatively speaking, the album has done well. (I know there are some people out there who would disagree, but for the circumstances, and lack of airplay from radio stations, i'd say it's not bad) PLUS the fact that Lindsey and Stevie are obviously getting along much better than they were back in 1987. They are clicking musically again-- why wouldn't they want to give it another go? I think Stevie would be the only holdout, but I have a feeling she would get talked into it again-- after all, she's said many times that Fleetwood Mac is all about Lindsey, so if he wants to do it, they'll do it

I'd say they'll give it another try-- but definitely a more scaled down US tour.

I think one more Fleetwood Mac album and tour (not a world tour, so next time I have to come to you guys ) and Stevie.... that's a tough one. I have no idea actually, she can go on forever, she's that good. Maybe 3 more albums and tours.

From how Stevie sounds I think you guys are lucky she's touring at all. I wouldn't want to be menopausal on the road. That would suck ass.

Really? Where would you like to be menopausal?
I think there will be some more Mac albums, and I doubt Stevie will ever stop making albums unless she finds another creative outlet that showers her with success and love the same way.
If nothing else, we can count on future reunion appearances like Simon & Garfunkel at the Grammies, and I'm sure Stevie & Lindsey will make frequent contributions as vocalists & songwriters (and guitarist) to friends' albums and movie soundtracks.

on one hand;
it's now all up to the prima donna and her management, keep in mind that she's got two "brands" to mentain, her own's and the band's.
in terms of making records, both her and FM are not in the position nowdays in which their albums are making any real money,
she's still under contract with warners, who (i think) would rather get another mac album, which is less expensive to produce than a stevie solo album, and might sell a few more copies.
in terms of touring, her last tour grossed 27m$, which is around 1/4 of what the mac tour's about to end up with. in terms of $$$, an album is released just to support a tour, and supposedly, she's making about the same money from touring by herself or with the band, so overall, it's just a matter of career management.

on the other hand;
stevie is the only option for lindsey and mick to have a visible and profitable musical career, and i think lindsey can tempt her into making another album at any given day

(a third hand?? )
i've been a fan for 16 years now, if there's anything i learned so far, it is to not speculate and not to expect anything. accept whatever comes out as a pleasant surprise. so please take no notice to what i just wrote above.

Hmmmmmmm....Hard to say!!!

I think maybe........MAYBE another Fleetwood Mac album within 5 years or so...I don't see a tour (let's face it Stevie will be 60 by then) on a grand scale....I would love for Stevie and Lindsey to do an accoustical tour however, playing smaller venues and taking requests from the crowd....(sounds like a glorified lounge act...I know...but it would be cool) An Intimate Evening With Stevie and Lindsey type of thing...

John and Mick would probably go on forever in one form or another.

Stevie and Lindsey will always release albums and write and record music...it's in their blood...how could they not do it??

Then again I could be wrong and next time out Chris will join them for the Fleetwod Mac Reunion Yet Again tour

I don't see why Stevie is being perceived as such a feeble prima donna. If anything she has proved time and time again that she is resilient and can survive anything. And the current stage show displays Ms. Nicks in her finest form since the early 80s. She is happy, animated, singing wonderfully and looking terrific. If the rigors of touring are wearing her down, she deserves the Oscar for putting on a happy act.

That being said, as pointed out in an earlier post, Ms. Nicks does have a lot at stake- a successful solo career and a successful band career. In fact, I doubt there is any single artist out there who has been able to sustain two burgeoning music careers so successfully for such a long period of time. And she knows this and she is extremely proud of this. Plus she loves what she does. So why would she give this up? She does not have a family to raise. She does not have a husband. At the end of the day, all she really has is the music, her band, her friends, her legacy and her fans. She will keep doing this until she is physically unable to stand up. Similarly, I think the Mac will continue until somebody dies or has a major health crisis that forces him/her to retire. And with only four members left in the band, I truly believe there can not/will not be any more personnel changes. I hope they all live forever in good health, but they are only human after all...
