Default Jones Beach

The Jones Beach theater connects music and sea. The ocean breeze, the evening sky, and the pounding drums of The Chain…. The near perfect set list repeats again. I can still hear you saying you'll never break the chain. The music put the crowd in a trance. The concert is like a Broadway show, each night repeating a well thought out plan, but after five shows, I long for variation. In Atlanta, Stevie and Lindsey went around the mulberry bush during Tusk. Last night, they slow danced in the moonlight. It's September in New York, I had hoped Illume would have made an appearence. Still, the crowd loved the show and so did I. Those who sat appeared to love it just as much as those who stood and jumped around. I prefer the latter but can appreciate both. Beautiful Child has been perfected live. It had a power that it did not have during the first leg of the tour. Lindsey was filled with fire and agitation, and he added a frantic energy to the concert. Stevie was iconic and thoughtful in her moves. Each one counting as if she had made several. The touching Say Goodbye, which I love, sounded a bit off at Jones Beach. It sounded as if the wrong notes were played. John is so likeable. His sense of humor and consistently strong showing at each concert is a pleasure. We tip our hats to you, even if you did fire Christine. I found myself in the second row. I just can bear to be far back anymore. A side note: I unexpectedly wound up with two extra seats that I gave to a man out front, who was interested in seeing the show but did not have much money to spend. I gave him these two orchestra seats which meant so much to him and his wife. They were never this far forward at a concert and were so grateful for the experience. This made my night and led to a very nice conversation afterwards and some compensation for the tickets. Generousity of spirit proved incredibly rewarding and made the evening.

How nice of you to give those tickets to someone who truly seemed to enjoy them!

Glad you had a nice evening - I agree, Jones Beach is a wonderful place to see a concert. As a matter of fact, that was the first place I ever saw FM live!
