Thumbs up UK fan club presale...

Well knock me down with a feather! I just bought two front row tickets through the fan club presale.

Except, erm, where is the second Earls Court date?

All dates are there now. What night did you get front row for?

I got Newcastle, and the second Earls Court date after quite a bit of reselecting... Lindsey's side for Earls Court, which I am quite pleased about, of course.

I wonder why the US pre-sales weren't handled in the same way. It seems these seats were secured before the general sale and I'm hearing a lot of people got the first couple of rows and quite a few front rows.

Perhaps because Ticketmaster UK as a whole has always been less crooked than Ticketmaster US?

When I have bought tickets for other shows through Ticketmaster UK, most of the front row tickets actually have gone on sale right at the start... I'm thinking the reason there were so few good tickets in the beginning was because the fan club stuck by its promises and reserved some good seats for us. As much as I hate JT, I can't fault the UK presale at all... unless anyone has any horror stories they would like to share? I feel there's not enough cynicism in this thread, considering it's about the fan club.

LOL! I'm hearing this pre-sale has been a huge success with many people getting in the first couple of rows. And I know of quite a few front row purchases. I'm sure Todd will be patting himself on the back over this one

Oh, I would be pleased to give him a pat on the back... just let me go and conceal a small knife in my hand first, so I can stab him in the back as he has stabbed others.

I think it's been a success because Ticketmaster UK isn't as crooked and therefore wouldn't go along with his evil plans for world domination (ha) like Ticketmaster US did. You know how us Brits get if we think we've been cheated...

Looks like Saturday night at Earls Court is all sold. Still rows 2 and 3 for both the NEC shows available.

Congratulations to you guys. After waiting all of this time for the band to come over there and play for you, you deserve it.

I'm glad the fan club complaints are helping fans somewhere. A lot of you supported the screwed US fans, so you deserve it. I was just wondering...how did European fan club seats get sold? I guess I missed something after being kicked off the fan club site and being out of the club. I thought overseas fans couldn't join the fan club? When did that change? I might be wrong about that. It's been a while. If that's a recent change since adding the European tour leg, I was just wondering, who in their right mind joined after knowing what happened over here? Just curious how that all came about.

Overseas people have always been able and encouraged to join. Even before we knew that FM would come over here it was encouraged tho it was questioned what would be the point in joining. We were told that we would see behind the scenes stuff and all that most connected tour ****.

As for how the tickets were sold... the general sale started a few weeks ago now and fan club members were told that the fan club had secured 100 seats for each show. Another email then went out saying at least 15 seats were front row and the the remaining 75 were within the next 5 rows. This does seem to have been the case. And the tickets have mostly been the centre block from what I can tell. These tickets had obviously been secured before the general sale. I don't know why the same couldn't have been guranteed for the US pre-sale. I suppose there is less demand for fan club tickets in Europe so that's why so many people got lucky.

So I don't think anyone joined after what happened... these are people who joined when it all started up before all the **** started to hit the fan.

That makes sense, Pip. I didn't remember if you guys could join or not. Ahh ya, I'm sure they wanted you to join even if no shows were going there! Glad to hear they are trying to get Euro fans what they deserve. Now lets hope the tour goes on as scheduled.

I hear ya. My fear is it will be cancelled before it even makes it over here!
