Good review on Ms. Nicks, but there are three other members of Fleetwood Mac that the reviewer forgot to critique ~~~~~~

Fleetwood Mac Turns Back the Clock at Amphitheater

Local '70s rock fans must be in heaven this weekend. They're dusting off the lava lamps and taping tattered "Have a Nice Day" posters back onto their bedroom walls.

Well, maybe not. But more than 12,000 seemed pretty happy Saturday night at the White River Amphitheatre as they screamed, danced and sang along to Fleetwood Mac's greatest hits.

Fleetwood Mac has done more than a bit of lineup shuffling during a 36-year run that's spawned some of the most commercially successful albums in rock history. The core group Saturday consisted of singer Stevie Nicks, guitarist Lindsay Buckingham, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, backed by an assortment of guitarists, keyboard players, percussionists and backup singers.

The band kicked off its 2 1/2- hour set with the driving, anthemic "The Chain" and "Dreams," both from the band's 1977 classic "Rumours" - an album that's sold well over 20 million copies and counting.

The band was tight and charged, notably Buckingham, who shared lead vocals early on and sang solo on a handful of numbers, like the band's 1987 hit "Big Love."

As could be expected, most of the songs from May's "Say You Will Album" didn't elicit the same response as soft rock classics like "Rhiannon," "Gold Dust Woman" and "Tusk."

But one of Buckingham's shining moments came during "Come," a hard rocking number that sounded thicker and meatier than the version on the new disc. The guitarist hammed it up, slapping and pawing frantically at his instrument as the number approached a crescendo.

The crowd was up and dancing as the band finished with upbeat numbers "Don't Stop" and "Go Your Own Way" - not to mention Nicks, who twirled around the stage doing her witch dance.

The band sustained that intensity during an encore that included "Don't Stop" and a rousing solo by Fleetwood.
