And...for those who forgot by now the actual spelling, it is:

John, you did the phonetic spelling for Lindsey. I don't see HOW people can spell Lindsey with an A when it's pronounced
Lin-zee!! Who says Lin-say?

Mack!! BWAHAHAHA!!! Yeah, unfortunately, I've seen that too.

Billy Byrne is bad enough, but macmar71 said it was Billy Bryne! Haha - a misspelling of a misspelling, or just a bizarre misspelling to begin with? This thread is well and truly in the twilight zone

Funny you should write that, since my original post in this thread (that I edited) mentioned that some parents have too much time on their hands when it comes to creative spellings of their kids' names. I deleted it because I know I have too much time, too.
If it's a consolation, I'm back to work in three weeks.

Jake (Jayke)--
You're right, parents get too out of control with their kids' names being spelled different. Do you know how confusing that is for people? "Oh, it's not Jennifer, it's Jeniffer????" (I've seen someone with MY name butchered that way--I spell it Jennifer) If you're going to name your kid something common, spell it that way. If you want originality, name them something original, make up a name, etc.

Another good example--the "Chris" names for girls (Christine, Christina, Crystal, Christa, Kristen, Kristy, etc.) can all be spelled in a zillion different ways.

I have too much time on MY hands now because it is Friday, half my office is gone and my job is boring anyway

Yeah, there's been some funky ones. I once saw a Mac TV puff piece from the UK around the TITN tour or maybe BTM and there was an interview snippet with Rick being played and on the bottom of the screen it said "Rick Burnett". Not only mispelling BurnettE" but mixing the two names together!

I was almost waiting for the Billy interview clip to come on so I could see them list "Billy Vito" (but it never came unfortunately).
