Stickys on the Rumours board

Just wondering...two months since there's been activity on the sticky'd threads on the Rumours board. Do we really NEED them to still be there..they're very intrusive.

I agree, & in fact seriously thought about posting this question myself.

If stickys have to be used at all (& I've never seen a really good reason for them), isn't it important to remember to remove them after a specified time? Otherwise, you risk turning the message area into one giant icky sticky.
