Okay, Brian, Gerald and other lurkers going to OKC. Where's a good place close to the arena to hang before the show? By "hang," I mean cocktails, of course!

Hey Livia! Just about 3-4 blocks from the Ford Center is the Bricktown area ~ which will have about anything you want to drink! I was just there for the Eagles concert and the area is really nice! Are you going to the Dallas show too?

there's alot of places right in the area of the Ford Center to hang out at/in/shop/etc...
List of restaurants & bars/pubs (i'm goig to eat at Zio's dammit...lol): http://www.bricktown.com/foodnfun.html Info on the area around the Ford Center ( I recommend walking the shops at the Canal & the Murrah National Memorial): http://www.bricktown.com/index.html Helpful hint-Make sure to have about $5-6 for parking...Parking in downtown OKC is rarer than a new Fleetwood Mac studio album (Ya have two 20,000 seat arenas at the same location and only a few hundred parking spots...Go figure, LOL!!!!) If anyone else is going to the OKC show please email me at [email protected] before July 1st (I'm also heading to Dallas on the 3rd)...So we can make plans to hang out & chat until the show... Gonna be about 92°-95° (At least...Probably eve hotter) on the 1st, so be prepared to die from the heat...lol!!! Brian "Doesnt do karoke" j.

I'll be at the band entrance at 3:30 with my JT sucks signs. One says I JOINED THE FLEECEWOOD MAC FAN CLUB AND ALL I GOT WAS ****TY SEATS" Then I'll probably have to go back to my room for a shower if it's going to be so hot, or bailed out of jail. I'll be looking for the JT SUCKS tshirts.
Does anybody know if KXTR is going to have a pre show party at the Westin like they did for the Stones? It was pretty neat they had big screen tvs everywhere showing stones concerts, drinks, snacks, and some cool tshirts with the station logo on the front and "licked and stoned" on the back. This Zio's you speak of is it Italian? I might eat there Monday night if it is. I love good Italian food and good wine. Last edited by bigmac; 06-25-2003 at 03:35 PM.. |

I'd like to try and meet up with y'all if I can talk my husband into it. The friends we are going with have reservations at The Mantle, which I believe has a dress code, so we really don't want to go there. If any of y'all know anything about The Mantle in Bricktown please fill me in.

I won a Say You Will CD this morning on KRXO!!!! I am too excited about this concert! I also heard just now on 107.7 KRXO (OKC classic rock station) that they are going to have a pre-concert party at CrabTown in bricktown--beer specials and giveaways. Thanks Brian for the link to The Mantel. I called them and they're just casual dress, so I guess my group will be going there first...maybe I can talk them into going to crabtown for the pre-party after dinner. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Crabtown is another great restaurant place to meet in downtown OKC...There's a ton of things to do in Bricktown, That's why I'm going to be there extra early just to wander around as usual.
2 days to go for the show... Brian j. ps-Sandra, Congrats on winning a cd through KRXO....

...the best bet to let people know about JT & fan club is to walk in the front Main entrance of the Ford Center (Reno Ave.) since the local TV/radio stations will be positioned about and may take an interest in your signs. Btw, There's basically no real "band entrance" area at the Ford Center (Hell, The crew have to park their semi's across the street at the ol' "Myriad") where a fan can stand to see/meet a band".
