I think, in stevie-speak, when she references the river never ending, she may be referring to the flow or movement (0f the water) in the river. Just a thought...

Stevie has unique and odd mannerisms in her lyric compositions. The effect of which is either poetic, expressive and intriguing or vague, disjointed, and pedestrian.

Haha. I could blame it on a brain fever, or a simple case of amnaesia when it comes to remembering how to percieve correctly. But the simple fact is, the line bugs the hell out of me. "My body tries to cry"? What in the hell does that mean? I try to picture in my head what she means, and all I can see is her slipping into convulsions. It's not a romantic/tragically romantic image to me at all. In fact it makes me a little nauseaus.

I know most of you think of all these as bad Stevie Nicks lyrics, but I just think of them as emblematic Stevie Nicks lyrics. I've always seen Stevie as a kind of William McGonagall in rock music.
