It was his use of the word "another" - which indicates there are more, etc. That is where I was getting it from.

But he never said that all rich people were assholes...

Nor did he imply it. You simply misread the sentence.

Do you mean his use of the word "more"? "Creating more rich assholes?"

There are more. There are lots of rich assholes out there who raise rich asshole children. Again, tune into an episode of "My Super Sweet Sixteen."

I know that. But, it is the presumption that all rich people are sort of presumed to be jerks that is underlying that. Maybe that is not what you are saying though.

Also, I took the "more" to mean all rich people are assholes. In other words, one more of an exclusive group.

Are you seriously arguing that in his post, he presumed that all rich people are assholes? That defies common sense, Jason, and I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to argue that. Good christ.

I'll tell you, though, I can only imagine the piece of work that would spend millions like that on a bat mitzvah. And I shudder to think of what a spoiled brat the kid must be.

Okay. But he wasn't making that presumption.

What's the deal, why all the justification? A simple, "Oh, okay, oops, I misread what he was saying," would suffice.

I was trying to explain myself and why I thought that. I still think the underlying presumption is all rich people are assholes or some variation of that.

All that I have to add is this: Just today I was thinking that it would be wild for Stevie or Fleetwood Mac to do a benefit show at The Rainbow Room in NYC. Isn't that weird? Of course a kid's party is not what I had in mind.

BTW - instead of typing, aren't you supposed to be working extra time to feed more of the poor?

I don't have the time or energy to read through all this, but I will say that it's awesome that Stevie was asked and got a little pocket change. In my opinion, it's no one's business how anyone chooses to spend his or her money, as hard as it is for me to say that. Yeah, I loathe those biotches on "My Sweet Sixteen" and yeah, most of the people like that I know are asses and aren't worth 2 squirts of ducksh*t (copyright Diss) and in a perfect world the father would've thought more about shelling $10M on a freaking bat mitzvah, but this ain't OZ...in sum, who gives a fug? It amazes me how some on this board take a post and with one little reply twist it and the thread takes on another life. So the "rich" kid got an extravagant bday party and Stevie performed and got paid and the father could've have done a lot of really great stuff with that money, but he didn't...

you may begin...
