Same here, but of the "Family Man" remixes, the "guitar remix" is easily my fave.

I dig all the extra percussion on the "Seven Wonders" remix (I also love the prominence of the last line Stevie utters: "well, if I hope and I pray, maybe it might work out someday"), and of course all of the extra Stevie vocals on "Big Love," "Little Lies" and "Family Man" are really cool.

The only lame-duck in the bunch, is the "Everywhere" remix. I can see why it wasn't released in the states. "Anemic" is a good word for it.

Yeah, don't leave any 12" inchers on a hot porch for fear of it being rendered useless.

I bought the Family Man single used years ago because I incorrectly assumed it was the version with Stevie.

Yeah, that's nothing to write home about. But the other ones are great. I think it sucks that there isn't a remix for Isn't It Midnight, that would've ROCKED.

I would adore Caroline if it weren't for the terrible lyrics. It's such a shame because the music is great, but the lazy rhyming just spoils it for me.
Lindsey has really improved since then in the lyrics department.

I've always wondered if there really is a longer version of the mix on 'The Chain' boxed-set, which is listed as an "edited alternate mix."
You'd think that it would have surfaced by now, if it existed.

That song was the perfect candidate for a great, lengthy tour de force club remix.

Hmm... I probably have, but I can't remember exactly.
I need to check.

It's funny because, as much as I love 'Tango,' some of Christine & Lindsey's songs in their "work-in-progress" state were pretty lame.

To the WTTRS topic: of course the song is not one of the outstanding good ones from TITN. But: in comparison to something like Silver girl it is not that bad. In fact I like it not because of the songwriting but because of the Lindsey singing part and exactly for that reason I like the ending of WISYA.

Caroline is a great song, his voice sounds cool and it was one of the reasons I got a fan back then. And the vocals- well english is not my first language so that is not my main interest in the beginning. The music is my main interest. Otherwise I wouldn`t listen to some of Stevies stuff I guess.

Family man has this silly cheap sounding synth on it. Unfortunately he re-cycled that on Soul drifter which makes this good song sound a little cheap... It would be interesting to get to know what those two would sound like nowadays!
