Why would they have to watch it on TV? They could have been backstage listening to him and then feeding him lines.

Fortunately, there is more to suggest that he was wearing a wire than there is to suggest that he wasn't.

PS: GO BUSH!!! Wave to Stevie Wonder for me, Mr. President!!!

Did you see Frontline last night? My word, I wish Kerry was smart enough to do ads like he used to back in the day. Those were priceless.

I was thinking that if someone was walking around muttering to themselves backstage for that length of time, it would look suspicious as opposed to the privacy of a closed off room. I mean there were tons of reporters around and they tend to snoop. But, it is possible Rove, who I am SURE was on the other end, was hiding in the rafters

I doubt that it's just a free-for-all backstage. There are probably areas closed off for both camps to have privacy. All someone had to do was stay backstage in a secluded area and feed him lines, it's not hard or a stretch of the imagination. Plus, he could have been wearing a transmitter and a receiver so that the person feeding him lines could hear what he was saying without the live delays.

Oh, I agree.

PS..GO KERRY!
You think someone was gonna frisk W Now frisky Bill probably would have wanted to be frisked when he debated (that sounds dirty doesn't it ) - but I do not see Rove letting ANYONE touch the Pres. AND - notice they have denied the accusation but did not say it was not a device of some sort

In sum, there is no other logical explanation for what appears to be a transmitter underneath his jacket.

No it wasn't. It was a receiver for his earpiece.

Maybe they did during the first debate. Remember "Wait, let me finish" with 30 seconds still on the clock?

As his presidency comes to a close, I'm going to have to acknowledge that, yes, he was in fact president, no matter how he got there.

Good point.

And when he asked if his time was up after using only 30 seconds of his two minute period.
