This band overtours anyway. I'd buy a new Fleetwood album but I wouldn't buy a ticket to a Fleetwood show anymore. Nicks sounds better on albums now than onstage, to my ears. I think I'd prefer hearing Chris McVie that way as well. But studio work for this band is so fraught with political melodrama that it seems unlikely to happen.

With Stevie, I don't think they can communicate with her very well. She's always rambling about herself and something they're not interested in. They can't relate to her musically and count on Lindsey to do that. In the limo tape, Christine asks her to just be quiet for a bit and I bet they feel that way often -- even when no cocaine is involved. Like in the Destiny Rules video when Stevie joins the guys she is telling them all about her time away and how FM was with her all the time and Mick says that what she doesn't understand is that they spent all that time trying NOT to be FM. But Mick just had a way of gently mocking her and discounting whatever she was going on about, to cut her off. Of course, he does the same mocking thing to Lindsey in the documentary too, when Lindsey leaves and he and Ray are alone. And Lindsey and Stevie both think the other is crazy. Michele |

I've seen both Christine, Mick and Lindsey all roll their eyes at Stevie. I've never seen someone talk about themselves more than she does.

In any event, the thought occurs that both Lindsey and Chris have spent extended time away from being in the band... and certainly for Chris, being out of the 'biz' altogether for long stretches. Even Lindsey bugged out for a bit. So they each have a point of reference to life that isn't all work, all fame, all music. Stevie has never done this. Her career was a bit flat in the 90s and she was zonked out on klonopin but then she wasn't really in position to be 'living' life in quite the same way. So her whole world is built on career, career, career. I also remember she said in an interview that Don Henley "taught" her how to be a rock star. She didn't elaborate in detail, but I've always thought this to be a bad thing. The Eagles are...well, the Eagles, with all the narcissism and jerk off rock star attitude and behavior that goes with. Not terribly long after her time with him/them she'd make comments like the infamous "we're rock stars, we're not nice" etc. It always felt like Stevie, who craves to be liked, to be popular and all that (result of her transient childhood, always having to make new friends? who knows. Lindsey seems to think so ) took this kind of 'mentoring' to heart and embraced it. I think she can be nice, thoughtful, and down to earth when she wants to be, or when it suits her purposes, but I also think she really means it/believes it when she says "I'm a ROCK STAR" and I think that's when the British 'taking the mickey' must be required in order to get things done within the band. |

So, I don't buy that they ever underestimated her contributions to the band. They just maybe find her tedious. She once said, Quote:
So you have giddy Stevie and Lindsey spending hours trying to make his guitar sound like a violin and no wonder the other 3 became big time alcoholics. Michele |

they don't have the balls to tell her what to do. NO ONE does!! Oh, and she gets the Presidential Suite in every hotel, "because I demand it". This is the "teaching me how to be a rock star" sh^t I'm sure she was referring to. |

It's time to accept the fact that Stevie is Fleetwood Mac. Life would be a lot easier if you all would just accept it.

This has to be, hands down, the most delusional, insane and daft comments I've seen in a while. No one invvoled with theband is bigger than Fleetwood Mac. Out of 16 members that have come and gone, no singular person is Fleetwood Mac. To even say that just shows your inane bias. And this is coming from a Stevie fan.

Christine: 9 Stevie: 5 Lindsey: 3 The 2014-15 tour has been MUCH more successful than the 2013 tour. What changed? Stevie was on both, Lindsey, Mick, and John were also on both. Tickets could be found for under $50 for opening night to in 2013. Not so in 2014. Sadly, I didn't see the price of that pavilion tour where Stevie was opening for Rod Stewart to use for comparison. But, yeah, it's all about Stevie. ![]()

The only member who, at one point in time, was bigger than the band itself was Peter Green, and that was before he lost it. Anybody who got ripped off by the Beatles did something right.
