You said exactly what I was thinking!

Silly man, she bought it to house families who have lost everything from Katrina's onslaught. She woke up a few mornings ago and said to herself "I, like, have to do something for these people. iPods wouldn't be of much use to them at, like, this point."

My thought is, it is all public record (available to anyone with a computer, very easy to look up)...here are a few details of her phoenix house you might find interesting (I did not list the address!!!):

Major Property Characteristics
Square Feet of Living Space: 7,299
Lot Square Footage: 46,976
Covered Parking: 3 Car Garage
Unique Location Characteristics: None
Construction Year: 1983
Pool Square Footage: 750

Other Improvement Characteristics
Number of Patios: 6
Bath Fixtures: 22
Patio Type: Covered
Cooling: Refrigeration
Exterior Walls: 8" Stucco
Heating: Yes
Roof Type: Built Up
Physical Condition: Average

Tax Year: Full Cash Value (FCV): (2006)$1,586,500 (2005)$1,586,500 (2004) $1,534,500

2005 Tax Detail Assessed Tax: $12,057.46
Amount Due: $12,057.46

I am a little shocked that her house is listed in the public record as average Physical Condition. I guess it is over 22 years old.

Is her Phoenix house up for sale?

Nope. Just public record.....I see where the confusion came from though, I said it was listed as average condition.. ....I meant listed in the public records that way...sorry about that....it used to be Above Average condition....

There is so much information available online on the entire Nicks Irrevocable Trust, her lawsuits, power of attorney, her mortgages, deeds and loans....everything, it's all right there! Totally public, totally legal for anyone to access!

It would be public record if one had been bought and would be available from this database. That's what I was told. When I've asked Kelly (like you all have) to elaborate on what she *says* she knows, I've gotten ignored and then flamed. So good luck in the asking. That's all I know.
Wouldn't that just be the house they rented for the recording of SYW?

Yes I heard this too but what I don't get is - why???
I know she spent a LOTTA money in the 70s but - it's not like she
hasn't made a pretty penny since then and it would be an investment -
the value would almost certainly go up over time. Frankly, her living there
probably wouldn't hurt the value of the house, either -
But, God bless her heart and I know she has a "practical" side to her -
but maybe business isn't Stevie's strong suit!
Why sink money into leasing when you can invest in a house that will
grow in value, though??? OH well, poets will be poets!

You've gotta be kiddin' me.
That has GOT to be an investment property, if anything at all.
No way, Jose.

Think, "Johnny Carson meets Winona Ryder."

That may be average for that area. This is the kinda neighborhood
Donald Trump would consider seriously. 22 bath fixtures? huh!????
But what does "Full Cash Value $1.6 million" mean? You CANNOT
be telling me that a 12,000 square foot house in a gated community,
belonging to Stevie Nicks, is worth 1.6 million! Think 16 million!
What does that MEAN?????

Can you say "McMansion"??? 7300sf is an awful lotta house for an acre lot. Plus three-car garage and six covered patios! Sheebus... I'm sure her neighbors could hear her stretching her vocal cords first thing in the afternoon.

That's probably a multiple of a multiple. No property tax bill I've ever seen actually shows the full market value of a property. I know 1.6 mio is kinda slumming it by la Nicksian standards. That doesn't even buy 1000sf in Manhattan.

Jason would you consider to be our deep throath about the new house (if it exists)? See? We've been polite, asked and asked, but this is a mystery, so I guess we should take this step now.

Maybe because it's hard to prove what floats around in one's imagination.
