So Stevie really did move?

I keep reading on threads here and there that Stevie has moved from her LA home. I thought she "liked the coastal cities" ? Anyone know where this info is coming from? Is there an article about it somewhere?

She said in her letter about her dad dying that she bought a house in Malibu - maybe she moved there.

yeah- I just read that letter, but it didn't say anything about her "buying" a house. it just talks about being at that house on the ocean (which could be the same house she's had all along)

Thats the way I interpreted it also....that she was just talking about her same old house she's always had

Malibu's just a smidge up the coast from where she was (wasn't she in Pacific Palisades?).

I personally think Stevie should buy one of those utterly secluded mansions on the cliffs along the 17 Mile Drive south of Carmel. In fact, I'm thinking of that one monstrous & mysterious mansion that looks like a Gothic painting:

Perfect! It's like the haunted house in "The Uninvited" with Ray Milland.

She hasn't lived in the TISL house for about a year now.

Do you know that the tree you are standing by
is known as
The witch tree...?
I love that drive!! Beautiful, could maybe allow my inner creative flow to write music and poetry...
Hey , could happen

whaaaa? who said she lived in that house for about a year now? i think anyone could do the math and know that since TISL was released over 4 years ago that she lived there for over a year.... and if you look back at interviews from the mid to late 90s she talks about living in that same house... am i missing part of this conversation? i've read the thread over and over and i can't find what i seem to be missing. help me out here.

Is this info from an article or something? Everything I'm reading now seems to point that she's still in the same house in Pacific Palisades. I could see some people calling the Pacific Palisades area Malibu because the two areas are so close. I live in a city called La Mesa, but to people that are less familiar with it, I call it San Diego so they know where I'm talking about.

What an awesome pictures of the coastline! Stunning--and yeah, if I could afford it, damn straight I'd buy a house there!

I'm curious to hear how people seem to know where she is living.

And even Stevie has referred to it as many different names including "Los Angeles"

ShangriLaTroubl 10-06-2005 10:28 AM

Here is her last mention of her Calif home. October 2003

"Well, here I am in Los Angeles, in Santa Monica, and right down by the ocean is just about the only place to be while our city burns," says Nicks, 54, in husky tones once memorably described as "four-in-the-morning f*** me". "What’s happening to California, all those fires, it’s terrible, terrible. I haven’t left my house for four whole days because I’m scared to go out. I’ve tried to seal it up. I’ve taped over my windows but they’re the old screw-out kind and I’m afraid the smoke is still getting in through the cracks. I suffer from asthma and for anyone with respiratory problems, this is a nightmare."

But I can hear the siren wail; LA is still burning. "It’s Topanga, so that smoke is coming over here. It’s Chatsworth, Stevenson Ranch and Simi Valley. People all over the city are sick so I’m getting out early."

Tomorrow she’ll fly to Frankfurt alone and wait for the rest of the band to join her there for the European leg of the tour. At 54, creature comforts for Stevie Nicks comprise her own bedlinen, her favourite pillow and a much-loved green armchair, but sadly not her Yorkie, Sara Belladonna, named after two big Nicks hits.
