Rehnquist Resigning Now?
I just got a call from a TV station that produces a weekly panel show on which I am a regular. We finished taping this week’s show at 2:30 pm. The producer wanted to know if I could come pack at 8 pm. The reason: Chief Justice William Rehnquist is supposedly resigning at 4:15 pm. That’s about fifteen minutes from now. Double trouble?

Hey, kind of unrelated, but have you checked out http://www.chomskytorrents.org ? Give it the once over when you get a chance, they have some truly fantastic stuff. I watched Life and Debt last night, that's a great one.

The debate between him and Richard Perle on there is PRICELESS. So much so that I burned it to CD for posterity.

I've never heard Perle so shaken and about to lose his mind! Not sure of the date, it's listed as recent, but it sounds like it's from the 80s.

Heh. I can just imagine Professor Chomsky talking in his calm, low voice while slaying Perle with his own arguments and Perle trying to figure out WTF is happening to him.
