i HAVE to pick "sister honey"...i'm sorry, but this song is NOT stevie to me...it's too funky and upbeat...i mean, it's ok and i can listen to it but i think out of all of them i would pick it.

i agree with you on her voice...if it were done a few years earlier it may have sounded better. There's a better version out there that has an alternate vocal. I bought an "I Can't Wait" 12 inch extended remix and it has an alternate vocal/mix of "Rock a Little" on it as well...I liked the song much more after i heard it. |

Joe, I think he only put Has Anyone... last because it's the last song on the album. He just picked the first ten. I actually knew someone was going to mention that, and I thought of it too, but then I remembered it was the last song. For some reason, I always want to think it came before No Spoken Word, no idea why. Now with Other Side of the Mirror, I assume Doing the Best That I Can and I Still Miss Someone will be left off until there is room to put them on. I might be wrong, heh. Really only Nightbird_Brett can answer that.

haha! i really didn't like this song in the beginning when it came out but i've grown to like it enough to listen to it occasionally...one of the cool things i've always thought about it is that it references some of her older FM songs: "...well i stood with you against the storm and i, i tried it once again/well i said 'i'd like to leave you with something warm'/how many times 'drowning in the sea' baby drowning....so about the moon and her sisters...how dare he take them prisoner..." Let me see, that covers "Storms", "Sisters of the Moon" and "Sara"...i can't remember if there's anymore song references. And...i don't think she co-wrote anything with her brother after this. i guess that speaks for itself! |

Wow, you know I've never been able to even listen closely enough to get those references. I make it through the first verse, with it's fairly pretty "Thrown down through the arms of sleep She fell through the ivory morning Deep into the waters Of the one she called love" and have to hit the skip button! Now that I know they're there, the references do make the song more interesting (and maybe more tolerable---um, nah... lol) |
