Song Survivor: "Rock a Little" - Round One!
Hi Ledgies,
It's time to start a new Survivor. By a vote of 13 to 7 "Wild Heart" won the Wild Heart survivor. Oh and for those of you that sent me emails about the hurricane thanks again for the concern. I really lucked out. My house is fine. No trees fell on it. And miraculously my electricity stayed on. There are many people whose homes are in bad condition though. It is sad to see. Talk to you all later. Brett |
Well, I voted for Imperial Hotel. I........just don't like that song. lol!:D
Anyway, Nightbird Brett...I'm so glad your house is okay!! ~~Angela~~:wavey: |
Ok, this was really hard. I absolutely adore this album...but I went with I Can't Wait. Don't really know why, I just did:confused:
|
Everyone's going to hate me for this, but...I'd ahve to say Talk To Me. I love it but I don't know...
|
I sing for the things MUST go
|
Ok Im going for If I Were You. I love that song and it must win!:)
|
My verbal vote goes to Imperial Hotel. I really do like this song. In fact, I like all of these songs.. that one was just my least favorite of the choices.
:) Michelle |
I picked I Can't Wait..i have never ever been able to really get into that song...i don't hate it..but it is my least fav for sure...
|
This is not the world... not the real world
I'm votin' off "The Nightmare"....just the least favorite of the songs listed...but I still like IT.
You'll have to add the vote in because alas I still can't vote on the poll(s)....*sigh* Joe |
How can anyone vote off I Sing for the Things?? That is such a beautiful song!
See, this is my favorite Stevie album really. This album has gotten me thru so many things and its like the soundtrack to my 19-20-21 years...and now its an old friend. I get these urges to hear it probably more than any other Stevie album. So no matter what anyone chooses...Im going to be outraged. I took off Some Become Strangers. After that maybe Sista Honey...I like how she sings it but it isn't the best song I suppose...then maybe Imperial Hotel... But I Sing for the Things is going to be one of my last choices. Personally, far better IMO than Has Anyone Ever Written...( hiding for cover!!!).......................does anyone agree? |
I voted off I Can't Wait...it's my least favorite on the ablum, I can't even get past the intro...so I rarely rarely listen to the whole thing...
|
I voted off Sister Honey

But I Can't Wait is so energetic...so rock-like of Stevie. To me, it's one of the only songs that fits the title "Rock a Little."
If I had my way (which it looks like I won't), I'd get rid of the title track Rock a Little first, just because, for once, Stevie's voice totally aggrevates me on it. Plus the music just isn't ear-pleasing to me at all. There just isn't much of a flow to the song...sounds like a garbled mess, and I don't think I've ever been able to fully get through this song the whole way. I just can't. My second song that would go would be I Sing for the Things, again because her voice is just a little irritating -- not NEARLY as much as it is on Rock a Little, but still just a little. Then next would go The Nightmare...I know it was the 80's, but this one's just got TOO much synthesizer to it. Then I'd have to think hard about the rest, but those are the three songs I skip. Now I have a question. Are you going to put Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You on there after the first song has been eliminated? |
Janet,
I totally agree with you about "I Sing For the Things". I saw that you had my fave part of the song as one of your quotes: "I'll take off my cape for you...." That part always gets me. Oh and Sorcerer I will add "Has Anyone" after the first song is voted off. There is a ten option limit. That's why. Brett |
uh,
isn't there a song missing from the list? has anyone ever ...?
