The only thing I want a 2024 update on is:

And if I can get John McVie off his boat, he’s not done either.
What is John’s current wish — to play some more or to never pick up a bass again, except at home?

The rest of that crap about reconvening under a revival tent and hoo-hah and what-all . . . .what nonsense. It’s like the wacky people who want to raise what’s left of the Titanic and repair it for another voyage.

Apologies to any of you who want to repair the old hull.

I think John is DONE done. I seriously doubt he even picks up one at home.

Leave the Titanic at the bottom. Because it's over.

That’s the thing, the quotes in the original post are from 2021, over three years ago, before the auction, before Christine’s passing, and before Julie’s passing. John’s life is very different from when Mick made these specific comments.

I would agree. His life today is eons away from what it was then. He sold all his gear....I don't think he's sitting at home noodling around for fun on a bass. and from what i heard, he doesn't even have a boat anymore, which is really sad and a bit hard to believe, because that was really his passion, it brought him so much happiness. i hope there's *something* that brings him happiness these days. but i don't think 'reuniting' with anybody is gonna be it.

Are you kidding, he's dying to make an album and sit in the studio for at least a year; to fiddle with the songs until they are just right!
