"Is there anything left to say?" Very sad, indeed.

Watch the entire Live in Belgrade..then try that again.
"Earning potential" ? Money money money -that is why she's dead.
An artist becomes a business, that is the problem.

I feel some sympathy for Amy, but Ryan Dunn? Absolutely none. H0w can anyone praise a man who killed himself and another dude drink driving?

Thank God no one in Fleetwood Mac could ever be described as a "junkie."

I wonder if people will be so unsympathetic when Danny Kirwan goes.

It's sad. But at the same time in Norway a rightwing extremist shoots more than 80 kids between 14 and 18 years old. Sorry, it's not to compare. But THAT is shocking. And sometimes I don't understand America. What's the breaking news on the chitchat Ledge?

I agree with you here. People get so wrapped up in the cult of celebrity that they forget that atrocities are being committed every day. Yes, a young woman has died (largely due to her own excesses and decadent lifestyle but she was still somebody's Daughter, Sister, Lover and Friend), but 80 young people lost their lives in an abhorrent manner for absolutely no reason at all. Yet which story gets the majority of coverage?... Maybe celebrity is a distraction so people can't think about what their neighbours do for the sake of their beliefs, and the other injustices that happen in the world while we live our decadent lives. Why face all the negative in the world when a celebrity is in the limelight?

Probably sounds harsh, and I do feel bad that somebody has died. I'd be wrong not to. But there are bigger and more important things in the world. I'm not knocking anybody's posts or upset at the death of somebody who obviously touched them deeply. I would be just as upset if somebody I held in such high esteem passed and would naturally be devastated. It just disgusts me how the media can hold so much higher importance on celebrity when the world as it stands is a living hell for many. And we could be the catalyst in stopping that. But the media insists on gagging and blindfolding anybody honest enough to face the harsh reality of what we have done to our world.

I'll get off of my soapbox now.

I agree with that & calling her Amy Winehoar was uncalled for! Rude...

Unhappy

Yeah, I just knew it was a matter of time. Another waste of talent.

They posted this article on MSNBC. Now this is just weird & sad.

She was talented, but I feel that this news was just waiting to happen.
Now we have another member of the 27 club.

Ha Ha. So true. This could have easily been Stevie's fate. And, if at 27 that would have been in 1975 really before the "new" FM hit it big
