Moonlight. By far a more nuanced vocal than what we hear in the other snippets. I particularly like the way she sings "They drop..."
Plus I just like the overall sound.

Mine is Moonlight, so far.
The only one I'm having reservations about so far is "Italian Summer" because it sounds a little too pop standard to me. I like the other three about equally. Right now I'm going to give "the edge" to "Wide Sargasso Sea" because it RAWKS!

I love "Twilight". Her vocals and harmonies are fantastic. I just love the romantic imagery. So very Stevie!

I love the video snippets for "Italian Summer" better than the lyrics/vocals i've heard so far BUT I think I will like the song.

Annabel Lee - I like and will warm up to more.

Not sure about Wide Sargasso Sea to be honest.

I voted Italian Summer cuz I really like the strings. I am PRO-strings in all compositions ever.

Hard for me to say because there's something I LOVE from all four songs:

"Moonlight" just sounds like a rockin' number with enough of her trademark fantastic lyrics and the gothic imagery lends itself well to the whole vampire theme she's going with.

Even though "Annabel Lee" is essentially structured similarly, if not completely identically to the demo, was given just enough of a freshening up to make a huge difference in the song.

The first spoken work/rapped line in "Wide Saragasso Sea" is a different take on a Stevie lyric, and has enough intensity to make me believe it's also going to be a highlight of the record.

As for "Italian Summer", those soaring vocals are some of the most committed Stevie's put on a record in DECADES.

I'm beyond pumped up for this record to come out. I wish it were May 3 already!

This! All these songs have me so freakin excited for IYD- I can't wait to hear this cd. I voted for the under dog. I was never that into the demo but I cant get this clip of Annabelle Lee out of my head.

Default Italian Summer

What a great vocal. How does it rank amongst standards or ballads from ages past? When I heard Stevie's cover of ''At Last'' my jaw dropped and that was live with no tweaks. I like it when Stevie goes out of the box and shows how truly talented she is. Italian Summer could fit on a movie soundtrack which means more exposure.

she does hit that big note at the end, vocally I bet she just nails it, beauty and the beast sounded like a movie song to me, it's going to be good to have a new one

Wide Sargasso Sea & Moonlight are the most intriguing. Annabel Lee has always sounded so catchy to me...I know others hate it. Italian Summer is the hardest to judge, but I think I'll like that one, too. I don't consider "middle of the road" and "pop standard" to be bad things...at all.

I really wanted to vote for Annabel Lee but I guess it was the effect of "the shock of the new" that compelled me to vote for WSS..the way she speaks the line and segues into her biting delivery of "in the smoke and fire"just grabbed me..but really the first 3 are almost too close to call IMO.Italian Summer I really need to hear more of to judge.

I voted for Wide Sargasso Sea, because I just love the way it sounds and the lyrics! I love all four but that one captivates me the most, with the second being Moonlight.
So has anyone figured out the lyrics for Moonlight? This is what I hear:

Strange
She runs with the ones she can't keep up with
Ooh it's so strange
He slows down
He's so desperate to stop her
They drop to the forest floor, frozen...
