Its no trick to get a Gold/Platinum record- everyone from low level record label staff to advertising agencies to concert promoters get these things. No big deal. This listing is overpriced.
Thanks for pointing that out, about the ordering and the pricing. Artists, etc. apparently do order them. On a recent show I was watching an artist made the comment her gold records were stolen and she just recently had "reordered" them.

I saw that too (you closet Real Housewives of Atlanta fan)!

Yeah, I suppose then that this gold record is no big deal, although it would be a cool knick knack to acquire at a lower price point.

I'm skeptical. I have Glen Parrish's (well one of them). It's one of my most treasured pieces. This looks really old school and if it's authentic, I'd love to get my hands on it.

The RIAA award I have was shipped to me by none other than Christopher Nicks so take from that what you will.

Granted I agree she wouldn't have this hanging up, i find this to be a fake for starters wouldn't it have a certificate of authenticity? also i doubt she would just let someone take this.

Well....I also know this seller and he is 'on the level' he's a very nice guy & at one time had probably one of the largest Stevie collections around. I myself have 'one' of these WH gold awards though not presented to Stevie ....its to Modern Records...I probably paid just as much as he's selling Stevie's for. He doesn't sell 'junk'.....I've gotten alot over the yrs from him. I have one & I wished I hadn't spent as much as I had on mine.....cause theres not much to them really. So thats why I stopped purchasing them. But some people want everything......I've kinda lost my interest in the 'everything ' mode sometime ago. Not that there isn't some stuff I wish I could still find....but I'd give some of the stuff up that I have to get what I'd love to find. Anyway, he's a nice guy.......he does have or has had some great stuff....he used to put an ad in Goldmine magazine yrs ago....for those that used to read through that publication......anyway.....just my 2 cents.......
