I found this on flickr (obviously) and I find it a little disturbing. I'm sure many others will. I can't really fathom actually seeing an insect this big, so I think I'd be a little scared if I saw it walking around on the ground.

PUKE, OMFG!!! That is what a demon would have as a pet on a little chain. God I am crawling all over. Sick!!!!

Dude - if someone as dumb about science and biology as me can understand it - anyone can! It sort of your everybody bug class - but it was good.

On the last day he brought in fried and chocolate covered bugs for us to try - but I refused. I already had an "A" and didn't need the extra credit.

But yeah - the funny thing was my ex-boyfriend - see Roach story - was the one who persuaded me to take that class because of my roach hate...he said it would help. It didn't.

^ Sounds to me like he just didn't want to clean his apartment. Seriously though - I don't think anything would help me NOT hate roaches after one was carressing my ear. *shudder*

^^

I never thought of that...it's probably more accurate than you think

Yeah...after that experience I'm even more freaked out by them...I felt gross and diseased after having one (possibly two) crawl all over me. And I also just remembered that at my grandma's house - they had a bit of a roach issue - so one day I was changing into my bathing suit (they had a pool) and I felt something tickling my foot - a roach was trying to bur its way under my foot...like between my foot and the ground. A freak-out occurred.

Then one night I went out to the patio to get a soda..and I stepped on what I thought were several left-over grapes from that afternoon. The next morning boy was I surprised to see the roach carnage. I cried...and freaked out.
