2) With a stethoscope?
3) With his or her ear?
4) What if it was the same situation but with an acquaintance instead?
5) What if someone wanted to record your heartbeat to listen to repeatedly?

No offense, Hillary, but I think my answer would be a big no for all five of these. Especially #5.

6) What are the four best non-alcoholic drinks besides water? tea, orange juice, apple juice, cran-apple juice.

7) What are the four best alcoholic drinks? Corona, most wines, amaretto sour, midori sour

~~senseless either/or section~~
8) Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcolm X?
9) Julius Caesar or Much Ado About Nothing?
10) Macbeth or Hamlet?
11) The Beatles or Elvis?
12) The Beatles or Fleetwood Mac?
13) Bill Frist or Fred Phelps?
14) Britney or Kevin?
15) Jessica or Ashlee?
16) Blueberries or blackberries?
17) Cockroaches or mole crickets (potato bugs)?
18) What’s the funnier book title—Fire: Friend and Foe or Pass Me a Pine Cone

19) Have you ever experienced any pleasure (as a child or otherwise) from playing with insects? (Playing with does not mean torturing and killing, by the way). Fireflies, as a kid.

20) Do you hate crowds of people as much as I do? Maybe. I do try to avoid them, if at all possible.

21) Do you have an overwhelming urge to rally support for legislation banning children in restaurants when you’re trying to eat and one starts crying vociferously? Yes.

22) Did you cringe when Dubya said that the situation in Iraq was vociferous when he meant to say it was chaotic? I cringe when I read about most things he says. I can't listen to his voice. Or watch him speak. At all.

23) Was that a rhetorical question? Probably.

24) Will MJ get off like OJ did? Who knows. I'm just tired of hearing about it every time I turn the tv on.

Interesting questions!

1) What would you say if a relatively close friend of yours asked to listen to your heartbeat? I would think he or she was trying to get a better look/feel at my boobs.
2) With a stethoscope? Even kinkier
3) With his or her ear? See answer #1
4) What if it was the same situation but with an acquaintance instead? I would think he or she was trying to get a better look/feel at my boobs. Look, nobody has ever wanted to listen to my heart..
5) What if someone wanted to record your heartbeat to listen to repeatedly? I would start asking questions..I have no idea.
6) What are the four best non-alcoholic drinks besides water? Pepsi, Gatorade, OJ, Soy Milkshakes
7) What are the four best alcoholic drinks? Beer, Tequila Shooters, Mudslides, Vodka Tonic

~~senseless either/or section~~
8) Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcolm X? King
9) Julius Caesar or Much Ado About Nothing? Much Ado, I guess
10) Macbeth or Hamlet? I don't know Shakespeare, but Macbeth I guess. I heard Macbeth was more interesting.

12) The Beatles or Fleetwood Mac? FM
13) Bill Frist or Fred Phelps? Take a pass
14) Britney or Kevin? Neither
15) Jessica or Ashlee? Neither
16) Blueberries or blackberries? Blackberries
17) Cockroaches or mole crickets (potato bugs)? Gross. Crickets, I guess. See, I can answer this one but not the one with the Simpsons or Britney and her beau. That should tell you something about which is preferable to answer.
18) What’s the funnier book title—Fire: Friend and Foe or Pass Me a Pine Cone Pass Me a Pine Cone. That conjures up very strange images.

19) Have you ever experienced any pleasure (as a child or otherwise) from playing with insects? (Playing with does not mean torturing and killing, by the way). I love butterflies and ladybugs, so I love catching them and releasing them just to hold them for a minute.
20) Do you hate crowds of people as much as I do? Sometimes, but depends on how cool the crowd is. I can get off on the energy of a crowd, as long as they're cool.
21) Do you have an overwhelming urge to rally support for legislation banning children in restaurants when you’re trying to eat and one starts crying vociferously? Only if the parents don't even make an attempt to calm them down.
22) Did you cringe when Dubya said that the situation in Iraq was vociferous when he meant to say it was chaotic? Words don't bother me, so no. The situation bothers me. The words don't. Vociferous is actually chaotic, but in a more indirect way.
23) Was that a rhetorical question? I guess so, but my answer remains the same.
24) Will MJ get off like OJ did? I think so.

1) What would you say if a relatively close friend of yours asked to listen to your heartbeat? I'd say no, only because I don't have anybody with a medical background.

2) With a stethoscope? Only if a close friend could actually spell 'stethoscope" AND actually had a stethoscope.

3) With his or her ear? I'd probably say "Aww, you just want to lay your head on my chest."

4) What if it was the same situation but with an acquaintance instead? Only if said acquaintance bought took me out for dinner and a movie first.

5) What if someone wanted to record your heartbeat to listen to repeatedly? I'd wonder if they had some type of doctor fetish. I'd be cool with that!

6) What are the four best non-alcoholic drinks besides water? Florida Orange juice, Canada Dry Ginger Ale, white grape juice, Five Alive

7) What are the four best alcoholic drinks? Canadian beer, Tennessee whiskey, French chardonnay, and good ol' Everclear.

~~senseless either/or section~~
8) Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcolm X?
9) Julius Caesar or Much Ado About Nothing? He made one hell of a salad!
10) Macbeth or Hamlet? Only because it's bad luck to type the other.
11) The Beatles or Elvis?
12) The Beatles or Fleetwood Mac? While I LOVE the Mac, I think even they would all say "The Beatles."
13) Bill Frist or Fred Phelps? At least Frist's website isn't godhatesfags.com, though I'm sure he agrees.
14) Britney or Kevin? The Grim Reaper!
15) Jessica or Ashlee?Ummm, a kick in the balls.

I liked chasing butterflies as a kid.

20) Do you hate crowds of people as much as I do? Depends on the crowd. I'm sure you'll agree that a 'Size One, C-Cup Women Against Clothing' crowd wouldn't be so bad.

21) Do you have an overwhelming urge to rally support for legislation banning children in restaurants when you’re trying to eat and one starts crying vociferously? That and really stupid parents who do nothing when said situation comes up.

22) Did you cringe when Dubya said that the situation in Iraq was vociferous when he meant to say it was chaotic? Not as much as when he said certain regimes "disassemble" information, which means they lie.

23) Was that a rhetorical question? Do you really want to know?

24) Will MJ get off like OJ did? No, because MJ gets off on little boys, where as OJ got off on killing his ex-wife and her likely gay friend.

1) What would you say if a relatively close friend of yours asked to listen to your heartbeat? I think it's weird in most situations, although the guy I've been seeing's brother/roommate is a resident, and his was lying around and messing with it turned... uh... hot. But normally? No.
2) With a stethoscope? see above.
3) With his or her ear? see above.
4) What if it was the same situation but with an acquaintance instead? no.
5) What if someone wanted to record your heartbeat to listen to repeatedly? definitely not.
6) What are the four best non-alcoholic drinks besides water? Umm. I don't drink anything besides alcohol and water. I used to love Dr. Pepper?
7) What are the four best alcoholic drinks? Cosmopolitan, Old Style, apple pucker & sprite (sentimental favorite- only thing I could ever sneak around my parents), screwdriver.

Uh, I'd pick Kevin... to die painfully FIRST.
15) Jessica or Ashlee? And see above

Watching Billy Peterson play with them on CSI gets me hot, does that count as pleasure?
20) Do you hate crowds of people as much as I do? I HATE crowds of people. I'm an inch away from turning down free Lollapalooza tickets because of how much I hate crowds.
21) Do you have an overwhelming urge to rally support for legislation banning children in restaurants when you’re trying to eat and one starts crying vociferously? No. It's not the parents' fault. Unless it is, and they're kids are spoiled little ****s. In that case, I support legislation banning selfish idiots who let their kids run wild from BEING parents.
22) Did you cringe when Dubya said that the situation in Iraq was vociferous when he meant to say it was chaotic? I don't cringe anymore at him. I don't pay attention. It's too painful.
23) Was that a rhetorical question? Eh. Sidenote: I distinctly recall learning what a rhetorical question meant from a Babysitters' Club book.
24) Will MJ get off like OJ did? Probably- but in OJ's case those jurors made stupid decisions and were carried away by theatrics and spectacle. With MJ- I think if he gets off it'll be a problem with the case MORE than the theatrics, oddly enough.

I might! I hate parties. I don't mind concert crowds that much though, they become one faceless mass that I can shut myself off for.
21) Do you have an overwhelming urge to rally support for legislation banning children in restaurants when you’re trying to eat and one starts crying vociferously?
Until I have children myself, I bet. Or what about supermarkets, when they're crowded already. Yesterday I was bordering on migraine but had to get some groceries. There were soooo many people there and then crying children too, I could almost murder them.
22) Did you cringe when Dubya said that the situation in Iraq was vociferous when he meant to say it was chaotic?
Haven't seen it, I try to avoid seeing Dubya as much as I can. I can read it if it was important. But seeing that man makes me sick. Didn't know what vociferous meant until now.

no.

Generally, I'm with y'all on this. I've only asked someone to do that for me once and it was my best friend I'd known for years and years. For the most part, it seems like a bizarre thing to ask someone, even to me, but I wanted to see what y'all had to say.

Oh, and thanks for the recommendations, Gaius.

And Lux, thanks for taking me seriously.

1) What would you say if a relatively close friend of yours asked to listen to your heartbeat? I'd ask for motives
2) With a stethoscope? Flashbacks to childhood... Playing doc as means to undress?
3) With his or her ear? No, most certainly
4) What if it was the same situation but with an acquaintance instead? No and I'd find that plenty disturbing
5) What if someone wanted to record your heartbeat to listen to repeatedly? I'd suggest buying some techno discs as an alternative
6) What are the four best non-alcoholic drinks besides water? Coke, Cherry Coke, orange juice & V8

~~senseless either/or section~~

9) Julius Caesar or Much Ado About Nothing? Huh?

19) Have you ever experienced any pleasure (as a child or otherwise) from playing with insects? (Playing with does not mean torturing and killing, by the way). Yes I would spend hours observing them, especially ants
20) Do you hate crowds of people as much as I do? Nah
21) Do you have an overwhelming urge to rally support for legislation banning children in restaurants when you’re trying to eat and one starts crying vociferously? Yes and also kill perfect strangers who encourage such insufferable behavior by fawning on any kid they meet
22) Did you cringe when Dubya said that the situation in Iraq was vociferous when he meant to say it was chaotic? Didn't hear it
23) Was that a rhetorical question? I suppose not
