Can anyone who is familiar with Van Andel tell me how the seats in the front row are numbered? I can't find a seating chart that tells seat numbers and it has been a while since I've been there. I had front row for FM last time they were here but I can't think of what my seat numbers were. I think they were numbered starting with seat #1 increasing from the right side (looking at the stage) to the left. Is this correct? And does anyone know how many seats are in the front row? Thanks!

As far as I can remember, yes they go (from looking at the stage) right to left... not positive on this but I am certain

But that's great! I'll be closeby... I decided I'm not going to take the digital camera, because I know someone that knows someone who works at van andel, and said they supposably have metal detectors now, and I'm not taking that risk of getting booted.

As far as hotels, I have two suggestions...

Amway Grand Hotel - Although expensive (and if it's just one night, it might not be too bad for you), your greatest advantage to this is that there is a skywalk that connects all the way form the hotel to van andel which is so convenient.

Across the river there's a Days Inn, it'd probably be a 10 minute walk to Van Andel. Not sure on prices here either, but I'm supposing they are affordable.

As far as I know there is no meet-ups planned or anything...I'm tagging along with my mom, so more than likely her and I will be fleeing the scene once it's over, and I have to write my review as soon as I get home, or I'll tend to forget things.

If not, maybe we'll all bump into each other when we rush to the stage for Edge
Hey, sorry I didn't respond to this earlier--thanks for all the helpful info! I was thinking of staying at a pretty, quaint bed & breakfast along the coast after the show, but that would involve more research and out-of-the-way traveling, which I'm not sure I'm up for (alone). The Amway Grand sounds like a nice, virtually stress-free alternative, but I haven't checked on the price yet. I'm a little scared by the sound of it.

Anyway, thanks again--I'll be lookin' for ya at the show!

Hey, is this the same Janelle w/ whom I am corresponding on Enchanted? If so, . If not, . Anyway, I cannot remember the seating arrangement either but you're probably right. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I don't even know my seat number yet--I guess I'll find out when I go to FedEx and pick up my ticket! <---I'm not excited or anything, lol. Oh, I guess we're not talking about the same show on this thread as we're corresponding about through e-mail, so I might as well tell ya, I'm going to Grand Rapids too! (front row baby!--I just don't know which side). Maybe we can meet up in GR too!

Cheers,

Yes it's me!!! I just emailed you. I got a pair of front row seats on Ebay just this afternoon! I am so jazzed about those seats that I don't know what to do with myself! I think I have seats 33 and 34, but I will know for sure when the tickets arrive. Let me know when you get your 'seating assignment'!

Note, the first part of this post is directed toward Janelle, but the rest of it is to EVERYONE!

Got your e-mail and responded, . We will be sitting (well, mostly likely standing) in the front row TOGETHER!!! I've got seat 32!!! Woohoo!

I'm gonna be looking for the rest of you guys too, to at least say hi. Actually, I took krrrby's advice and I'll be staying at the Amway Grand, which has like, 6 different restaurants in it. Some are very expensive, and I will not be dining in them, LOL. I'm already paying enough for the room and the ticket! But they also have some more moderately-priced restaurants, like a sports bar. I was thinking I'd eat at one of those. Would anyone be interested in meeting up for dinner at one of those places before the show?

I know it's early but I'm just trying to get an idea! :-)
Hope to hear from you guys!
Cheers,
*Lisa Anne*

Woah! People might take that the wrong way!

But, that is cool! I have been getting ahead of myself though, since the Detroit show hasn't even happened yet! I'm starting to get the two travel plans mixed up! I figure we can work out the Grand Rapids details after the Detroit show (everyone who's also going to the Detroit show, please see the Clarkston thread which should be around here somewhere because I just bumped it up)!

Talk to you later!

I was totally goofing around! I have a warped sense of humor!

Sorry, didn't mean to get your plans confused! We will talk about GR after Saturday...

Unfrotunately I cannot make it because the show is like at what 8? and I get out of work at 7 so I'll be running home, grabbing my mom, and flying down there (because it'll take like 20 min to park LOL)

You think we should all wear nametags with our screen name? LOL
sounds dorky but hey...it might work

get one of those cheap "hello my name is..." stickers

I will be wearing this shirt I made...maybe it will look better than a sticker. Although, it still won't say my name on it so that won't help. I go by Janelle though if anyone wants to say hi! I have curly red hair, which probably stands out more than my shirt will. If I did this right, it should have a pic of my shirt in this post somehow.

If you're looking for like a remote little hotspot....the beach in Grand Haven is awesome. I love going there every chance I get. It is sort of off the expressway...but it's well worth it, the beaches are so nice in michigan. Most people don't think we have beaches which is a good thing, we can have em all to ourselves LOL

But just a thought if you are looking for something to do around the area...they have a nice little downtown too

I would love to meet up for dinner, but since my sister and I have to work that day we won't have time. The sports bar in the Amway is pretty good. There is also a Fridays on your way to the Van Andel (if you are walking outside and not using the sky walk). There are also 2 nice bars that have food just around the corner from the Van on Ionia that have great food for good prices. Taps and J. Gardella's. I hope you have a safe trip to Detroit! I will also be at that show. We are in the left center section row M seats 16 & 17 on the left isle if you are facing the stage. I am not sure what I will be wearing since I think it will be a little cooler than I thought it was going to be. If you get a chance stop by, otherwise I will see you next Friday!

JanelleA22 - you did a great job on that shirt!

Do you mean left center as in the left section of seats (floor 3) or in the center section but on the left side? I'll probably be a good 8 rows in front of you if you're on the left section
