Right, because W needs to protect his legacy?! Re-election isn't something he has to worry about, and his legacy... HAAAAA. I have no doubts that if they think it's necessary, his administration will push for it.

Most would take comfort in thinking their president would only do something if it was absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, a pointless and unjust war was already deemed necessary for no reason whatsoever by this administration. I tend to question their view of "necessity."
