It can be a curse, though.

Friend of ours has it, and it really messes her about when (for example) she has to hit 'transpose' on a keyboard because some singer has decided they can't sing something in the key the band has worked it out in. She says that hearing a B when her fingers are hitting C (for example) really does her head in

It isn't. Lindsey's playing one line live, one of the other guitarists the other.

As for the rest of the song? Make it up as you go along.
