I'm not sure about the rating either, but at the time it made sense to me. But not really, but ratings are always like that. I didn't think it was that baaaaaaad.

I thought it was HORRIBLE. Fred Ward and Uma Thurman were so miscast that it was painful to watch.

And it had Kevin Spacey, so it's automatically docked 100 points.

The only mags I buy are Entertainment Weekly, The Enquirer, and sometimes Star. And Psychology Today, that's a good one. I used to buy NME for a couple of months, but I got sick of reading about the Scissor Sisters and The Killers because I abhor both of them.
I get Psych Today by subscription. The Enquirer? Yuck.

well, I do not like Uma, and I did not know Kevin Spacey at the time, and can not remember him now. +500 for the entrancing Maria de Madeiros. I liked it, though I wish Uma was someone else.

Don't diss The Enquirer. It's worth it for Anna Nicole's column alone.

(And I have a subscription to it...)

I know!!!!!!!!!!!! The first one was bad enough! But she just had more work done to her tits, so she has to show them off, silly. The funny thing is that Sharon Stone is a decent actress, but she picks utter swill to star in. Sliver, Basic Instinct, Cold Creek Manor, CATWOMAN, etc. Christ. Her and Halle Berry are the dumbest actresses in Hollywood, that's for damn sure. A few sandwiches shy of a picnic.

That's strange. If my television was playing the likes of Basic Instinct and Boom!, I'd be running out of the house faster than Sally Struthers runs towards a Ding Dong cart.
Sharon Stone is a Mensa with no common sensa She is looking good these days though and looks happy. I'd love to see her in something good! She was so gorgeous in BI I could barely take my eyes off of her.

I used to work with a project manager with this affliction. This person was painful to work for. Everything was dissected into it's tiniest parts and nothing ever got completed, it was maddening! She would go on and on about nothing for hours. Gah! So of course, she became "Densa" to my team . Cuz we were wicked smaht, ya see? Not to mention mature.

I don't believe half of it, I just think it's entertaining.

I do believe the Desperate Housewives dish, though. No one with any common sense could believe for a minute that all those women put together are gracious, kind, and sweet to each other. I'd bet my life that they fight like cats and dogs and talk so much **** about each other.

I agree, and her new boobs look really good, suprisingly. Anyway, though, I don't think she's a very good actress. High B movie skills, I would call. But she sure is good at that. I think all her roles should be bitchy/sexy temptresses. So that she can shine.

I can hear it now, "Why is Eva on everything? She ain't all THAT! Maxim's #1, whatever, she's always wearing padding! That little twit, how am I going to continue seeing her face every day without wanting to smack it? MEOOOW."

He's not my favourite director but you'd flush Mean Streets or Casino?

By the way I think The Aviator wasn't a complete waste of time, I went to see it mostly for Cate Blanchett playing my all time favourite actress and she was fantastic... and her press conference after the Oscars was great too.

It's more in reference to the type of people that exist these days. I mean, HELLO!!! It's the 21st Century people- y'all should know not to sink money into unpolishable turds like Basic Instinct II. At least the late 80's/early 90's could blame their stupidity on post-cocaine stress disorder and Aqua Net Hair Band recovery. My TiVo is programmed with only the choicest morsels, hence my hermitdom.

OY!!! I know that feeling.... It's like "hey, gimme a bromide!" Yeah, Showgirls gives me heartburn. Elizabeth Berkeley doesn't even qualify as an actress, so I can't say she's a bad one. It was interesting to see any possibility of her having a viable career go {insert sound of Obi Wan Kenobi turning off the tractor beam of the death star here} (staying on topic!!).

Pay It Forward was on the screen at my vet's office while I had to wait for almost 30 minutes!!! With the sound on!!!!!!! It took a couple of days to recover from that one......
