New addition to Stevie Nicks and Dave Stewart tour

13 July 2011

Former Westlife band member and Australia’s Got Talent judge Brian McFadden is to join two pop icons – Stevie Nicks and Dave Stewart – at a national tour in November and December later this year, it has been announced.

“I am looking forward to getting back out and touring because the stage is where I feel most comfortable,” McFadden said.

McFadden will perform alongside Stevie and Dave at a series of concerts at all Australian capital cities.

An enduring musical icon, Stevie Nicks is best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac, regarded as one of the best music groups in history. Their 1977 album, Rumours, which won the coveted Grammy Award for ‘Album of the Year’, stands as one of the greatest albums ever made. It recently enjoyed a revival when it was featured in an episode of Glee. In the wake of the show, Rumours returned to the Australian charts at number two.

Stevie has also had an extensive solo career with hits like ‘Edge of Seventeen’, ‘Leather and Lace’, ‘Stand Back’ and ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’. Along with her work with Fleetwood Mac, Stevie has amassed more forty Top 50 hits, selling more than 140 million albums worldwide.

At the concert, Stevie will be performing a range of Fleetwood Macs greatest hits, along with highlights from her solo career.

Joining Stevie on stage is Grammy and BRIT award-winning musician, songwriter and producer Dave Stewart. Best known for his work with Eurythmics, Dave recently co-produced and co-wrote tracks from Stevie’s latest album, In Your Dreams.

Expect to hear Eurythmics classics such as ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’ and ‘Would I Lie to You’ as well as tracks from Dave’s stellar repertoire including ‘I Only Want To Be With You (The Tourists)’.

Brought to Australia by McManus Entertainment, this rare concert featuring two icons supported by the talented Brian McFadden is a musical experience not to be missed.

Saturday, November 19, Melbourne Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Bookings at www.ticketmaster.com.au or 136 100.
Sunday, November 20, Melbourne Mornington Racecourse. Bookings at www.ticketmaster.com.au or 136 100.

Hello Guys, My front row ticket for the Brisbane show just arrived in the mail, I have had some very disappointing experiences over the years trying to get my hands on front row Stevie/ Fleetwood mac tickets, back in 2003 when Fleetwood mac toured I lined up at ticketek at 4 am to get front row tickets I only managed to get 3rd row right on the end even though the people behind me all got front row center, the same thing happened to me for the second Brisbane show, when Stevie toured in 2006 i lined up again and was second in line and only got 10th row tickets, for the gold coast show that same year there was a 2nd row single ticket that was on the ticketek website for months leading up to the gold coast show so i purchased it and ended up leaning on the stage for the whole concert ....When the tickets went on sale for the Brisbane show 2011, i sat at home and at 9am sharp i logged on to buy my ticket, I rejected about 5 offers for 10th row tickets 4th row 9th row etc and at five past 9 I got offered a front row ticket close to the center of the stage...just thought id share my experience...

That's great your ticket arrived so soon, for some stupid reason P/Seating post them 2 weeks before the concert I bought 1 platinum ticket 2 weeks before they went on sale to the general public. Its killing me not knowing where my seat will be.. Parking might be a problem, being so close to the city,[Riverstage ] got any suggestions lol ????.. I'm driving from the Sunny coast, & have no idea how to get there yet. I can see myself driving around in circles trying to find this place..lol

Hi, I have been to the riverstage numerous times over the last 10 years, the last time i actually booked a room and stayed about a 5 min walk from the stage, this time i will probably drive in and park in the queen street mall which is about a 15 minute walk it seems to be the cheapest although because its a Saturday night im expecting to pay $40-$50 for parking, the city is pretty small so i dont think you will have too much problems getting lost, do you know what row you will be in or dio you only find out once you get your ticket?

unfortunately I have lived in Brisbane my whole life (almost 30 years) I know it like the back of my hand lol, you might be lucky to get street parking although I highly doubt it because it will be a Saturday night around Christmas, there have been times on weeknights where I have tried to find street parking and have been unsuccessful the riverstage really sux as a venue because there is hardly any parking close by

Oh dear lord. This could very well ruin my entire experience. I despise Brain McFadden with every fibre of my being

If this tour is going to be about what is written in this article (Originally Posted by Livia

I'm sure Starshine would agree, so many missed oppurtunities.

Stevie, you need to perform your new record!!!

I don't think Stevie would be bringing Dave Stewart along if she was going to do just her greatest hits. The fact that Dave is there will make these shows unique!

I wasn't aware Dave & his band were playing before Stevie's show for some reason i was thinking he was just going to sing & play guitar on a few of Stevie''s songs.. so anyway that's a bonus & a nice surprise

Well if this is correct then Brian McFadden will only be on for 20 minutes, which I can probably cope with (it'll probbaly take me that amount of time to get served at the bar anyway!)
