I don't know how anyone could favor Blue Denim over any of these songs that are left, but to each their own. I'll be shocked if another song wins this.

Ditto - BD is pretty shabby stuff.

Blue Demin always wins these Street Angel survivor threads (at least as far back as I can remember, same w/ Rooms On Fire on OSOTM survivor). BD along with Greta or Kick It, are almost always the last remaining songs. I can see why Blue Denim has the most overall appeal. Though not a spectacular song in particular, its straight-forward rollicking rock beat, and catchy chorus make it the most non-offensive composition on this record.
That's whats wrong with SA for most hardcore Stevie fans, it's a very middle of the road, no frills record. It lacks the majick, mystery & intrigue of her previous and later efforts. That and there is no epic grand song or theme to be found imho. However, I still love Street Angel for what it is, yet ache for what it could have been.

For me it's the all-time dumbest lyrics that ruin BD. Tied with Bombay Sapphires for the worst lyrical "I dunno, who cares?" vibe.
