Just saw it!!!! One of the most beautiful renditions of "Landslide" ever!! Stevie was so cute when she was directing Javier. The harmonies of the two of them were absolutely stunning !! Adam seemed in total awe of Stevie! So nice to see her get the respect she deserves ! Does anyone know if the duet is available on itunes?

I didn't see it on iTunes this morning. Don't know if it's there now. I'm @ work now & don't have iTunes on my work computer.

I wanted to tie her hands down. I totally get that she was "conducting" or "directing" and not merely "flapping" - but eh. I'm glad she got the exposure and she looked completely amazing, and it was nice to see Waddy dressed up.

Cute pics here - and you can vote on the best duet (Stevie and Javier are currently in the lead, 67%!).

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertain...ice_final.html

Stevie Nicks, Miranda Lambert, One Republic's Ryan Tedder and Train singer Pat Monahan each performed with the finalists on "The Voice" on Wednesday night.

The Fleetwood Mac singer didn't leave a dry eye in the house after her duet with winner Javier Colon on her 1975 classic, "Landslide."

After the performance, Colon's coach, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, was in tears and could barely give his critique.

"I told Stevie Nicks I wouldn't cry on national television," said Levine, his eyes welling up.

"I'm going to get through that and talk to you about other stuff. That was the coolest thing you've ever done other than have kids and get married. I'm pretty speechless.

"You just sang with Stevie Nicks," he added, "and that's one of the most beautiful duets I've ever heard in my life."

Sorry. I didn't like it. The only time I have heard this guys voice and it is not that good. Straining much? I don't know what everyone is creaming over.

I agree. Stevie and Waddy both looked great. I know Waddy likes to be the rock & roll "dude," but he looks really cool in a suit/vest.

There's a video clip here too, but I'm at work and can't watch it yet.

http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/l...124783339.html

Javier Colon is thankful for all the support he received from home as he competed to become the first winner of “The Voice” and for the amazing experiences he had along the way.

One experience he never expected was to sing a live duet with the legendary Stevie Nicks.

“It just doesn’t get any better than that. Singing with such an icon, such a legend, is something that I did not expect to be doing on this journey,” he said.

The magnitude of what he was doing hit home when they were running through “Landslide.”

“I looked over at her when we were about to start singing the harmonies together and I was just taken back by the fact that -- I was like -- I’m singing with Stevie Nicks right now, and I was almost moved to tears in the middle of the song, realizing the opportunity that I was given,” Colon said.

Reminded me of those live performances where Sharon would scream over Stevie so she was totally inaudible...

^I honestly think she held back a bit on purpose to let javier shine.

You caught that too, huh? Classy lady. Another time she was chugging her coke, and when carson was talking to Javier after the announcement that he won, she had her back turned & was talking to someone else on stage. Pay attention, airhead.

Yeah. Too bad he said it in about 2 seconds & you could barely hear him.

His coach Adam Levine said that Colon has one of the best voices he has ever heard. We’re not going to argue with that superlative assessment.

Colon, who is a father, has never let the “chew you up and spit you out” music business stop him, and on tonight’s finale, he performed the tender ballad ‘Landslide’ with the inimitable legend Stevie Nicks, taking subtle direction from her as she lead the song. He met her in the middle, and it was earth-shattering.

The performance was a stunning collision of modern and classic, novice and legend and by the second verse, Colon and Nicks brought out the best in each other. The song exists as a vehicle for powerful voices, and when these two sang the signature line, “When I see my reflection / In the snow covered hill” in tandem, the roof was effectively ripped off. The hair on our arms stood on end.Colon and Nicks closed their performance by sharing a hug. They were met with a standing ovation from all four coaches.

Levine said he had to fight off tears after the duet. “I’m pretty speechless. You just sang with Stevie Nicks and it is one of the most beautiful duets I’ve ever heard. Now you’re one of my heroes. You deserve to win this competition,” he declared.

Don't be so bitter, Betty.

That corset? Was hot. She looked great - the wide shots of her silhouette were breathtaking. But anyone else notice her lipstick was f*cked up? I swear for a minute her mouth looked crooked & I was worried she'd had a stroke.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this, lol.

I was hoping it was just the way she was singing / moving her mouth haha, but it was totally lopsided. The right part of her top lip was a lot bigger than the left, or something.

I'm not a fan of the single-jazz-hand "flapping" gesture either. I was willing her to stop doing that, but she never listens to me.

More gushing:

Javier Colon didn't win the first season of "The Voice" by much -- a hair perhaps, or maybe a nose.

Host Carson Daly explained Wednesday night before revealing the champion that the lanky singer had only narrowly edged out first runner-up Dia Frampton by just two percent of the total vote.

Regardless of the miniscule margin of victory, Colon also won by a "Landslide" -- with his stellar performance on the 1975 Fleetwood Mac song in a duet with icon Stevie Nicks.

The involvement of a legend like Nicks may hint at the direction NBC will go in next season -- and we'd love to see the show bring in more superstar guest musicians.

As the singing-competition template "American Idol" has demonstrated over the years -- most notably by involving Lady Gaga and U2 in 2011 -- big-name artists not only help attract and entertain viewers, they also lend an air of importance to the proceedings.

But "The Voice" is already ahead of where "American Idol" was when it began. The Fox show didn't begin using guest performers until its second season.

I was almost thinking Cheaper Than Free would be cool to do but I did like it the way they did it and it took Stevie out of her realm too which was nice to see great job both and he can sing and he is from Connecticut too cool to hear found out after the show on the news. My first time seeing the show and it was either Javier would win and I though he would or the last girl that performed that who I was thinking didn't like the other two.

what?? I can't believe her lipstick was lopsided!! LOL. Kinda like her hair was on the Loose Women show. Her left side was way bigger than her right.
