It's wonderful to hear from you Sara. I know as a huge Stevie/Mac fan, I would love to pick your brain about the years you spent with the Mac.

I have to strongly disagree with Sara and others...I'm relatively new to The Ledge...and I have to say the ledgies have been friendly, inteligent and educated in terms of stevie and her music...I've been blown away by how thoughtful everyone has been!

ATTENTION: The Street Angel Rehearsals are amazing... the band ROCKS, Rick, Carlos & the Gang... However, Stevie does not sing on these songs. It's either Sharon or Sara, still not sure. "Long Way To Go" & "Doing The Best I Can" are INCREDIBLE!!! If only Stevie were there.
I hope you will still enjoy hearing "what might have been". PLUS, we still have EIGHT outtakes from STREET ANGEL, including the most mind-blowing version of "Mirror, Mirror" you could NEVER imagine! I'm comparing it to "Wild Heart" in its epic-ness, but you will have to decide for yourselves. LINKS hopefully by the end of the week... Thanks! Last edited by mikebise; 06-20-2011 at 09:19 PM.. I hope the elusive "I Call You Missing" is also one of the SA outtakes! That would probably be to be good to be true, but I'm putting that request out into the universe. Mike you are simply THE BEST! |

Christopher, I would not be able to be quiet about that. No "I Call You Missing". But it WAS sold on eBay 3 years ago, so one day we'll find it!
"Mirror, Mirror" 1992... well, we'll need to decipher this one, since it does not sound like Glyn Johns production to me, but it's definitely 1992. and NOT like the clunky keyboard intro from 1984. So amazing... Stevie whispers at the begining... "It's just a dream, it's just a dream... still a dream~" |

Hey Mike,
All of your time, money, and efforts are SO appreciated! About a week after my birthday and the release of "In Your Dreams" my sister had a brain aneurysm and stroke..(our parents and brother both passed in the last decade) Listening to "In Your Dreams" and all of the WONDERFUL gems you've been posting is all that gets me through the daily trips to the hospital!! I'm so excited to hear the new batch...especially Mirror,Mirror... any information on the other tracks?? Again, thank you so much for everything you've done for my little Stevie escapes from the real world!! God bless you, Ken |

Mediafire is sucky today, so it's taking a long time. Don't be mad if it's not until Sunday or Monday, okay?
Stevie's SCREAMS on the 1992 "Mirror, Mirror" remind me of the 1997 "Gold Dust Woman"!!!! Music reminds me of Desree/Rozalla (not-Hi-NRG), but that jazzy kind of sound. The keyboard sounds like Bronski Beat's "Run From Love" (1985)...OOOH!!! Reminds me of Opus III "It's A Fine Day"!!!!!! I don't think Glyn John produced this "Mirror,Mirror".... July 29, 1992 |
