Nah. When I said Thank You to her at the Edge walk in Vegas, and she looked me right in the eyes and said Thank YOU, inflecting on the "you"...it was genuine. It was a very special moment for me. Sweet person. And my husband was trying to tell her something and she leaned in so close to hear but couldn't. She grabbed both his hands with both of hers to try to hear him. Pretty cool that she trusted him to not pull her down, lol. Awesome! When I watch old videos of Edge walks in the past whre she hikes up her skirt and dives down into the audience to get as close as possible to her people (with her security freaking out) I think there was a glimmer of that happening in Vegas. I hope I can experience that again.

I'm sure she appreciated your low-approach, sans loud screams and overly gushing emotions. It can be very disconcerting when you find yourself in the presence of someone famous, especially if you're a huge fan.

I work annually at the Sundance Film Festival, but I'm not a huge movie buff. I've interacted with many famous people (or famous industry insiders), yet they are usually just "people" to me. Most of the time I don't even know who they are.( Some have a lot of attitude, but that behavior is not exclusive to the famous)

All said, I can't say I'd easily keep my composure if I ran into Stevie in a bookstore.

LOL I actually had to "check myself" before I approached her and say to myself..."if youre going to approach this woman...be cool" It was a four minute conversation...I wasnt going to ask for an autograph...she was going to new york and I was coming back from NewYork...it was brief chat and we did a line of coke on the back of a toilet in the airport restroom and said goodbye...lol just kidding! seriously she was sweet and EVERYTHING you would hope she would be- without an ounce of self centerness

That's exactly what i tried to do in 1980, to keep my composure in tacked when i unexpectedly met Stevie & the band.. i had 10 sec to tell myself, now please don't faint, stutter or make a fool of myself like zombieing out in-front of Stevie Nicks for C/SAKE lol... to my amazement i handled it pretty well, though i could feel my heart thumping a million miles an hr with excitement, my composure was on the verge of exploding at any second when i realized she was looking at me with those big brown eyes, she singled me out to be the spokes person of my group of 3 g/friends, she was really friendly & happy to do most of the talking. I remember & so glad i didnt ask, if she had time to check out this beautiful candle & jewelery shop across the road... lol true..

Lightbulb Looking Me Right In My Eyes

In the few times we met...this is what she does. That and little touches...cheeks hands...she and you are all alone to her...and right there and then is all that matters to her. Even in cocaine to klonopin transition ...more 88 to 92 where we spoke for a Hey...how've you bee? Or for an exchange about something. When we spoke in the late 80s about time, Landslide getting older and bolder, out of time BATB, SS time cast a spell on you...etc...and it was her and me...Glenn (I think) and party may as well just have disappeared. Long story...I save the complete thing to myself like a sworn secret. I just want to point out that era and how things must hav e really been for her...but for a guy that means nothing to her...she treated me like her best friend and confidant.
