I'm really surprised that people aren't discussing/analyzing the goldmine that's been discovered here a little more. I've only had a limited time this week to listen to these gems but plan on doing it in it's entirely tomorrow. I have heard Channel, Channel. Let's talk about that pls. I mean, she obviously had no lyrics written for this and was basically singing/talking out of her ass on these 2 versions. The version we've had is much more complete but there's something about rambling Stevie that is so desireable...

So for those of you that have downloaded and listened, share your thoughts!!

I'm not gonna lie- life has been sooo crazy, not necessarily in a completely good way, to where I haven't had a chance to download ALL of these. Did get the new demo though. Always did love Chanel Chanel, so I'll have to check that out- totally made me laugh what you said about it!

Mike!
omg... just found this thread.. i am truely speechless... you are an amazing individual to put these songs up here in wav format for all of us.. thank you Jeff for tweaking them.. thanks to all involved in getting them out into the light.. Stevie's music is what brings us all here... what drives us to travel to her shows.. and it means so much more when we share it with other ppl who love it as much... i don't understand how keeping things in the closet and listening to them alone can give anyone pleasure i can't believe the motherload a** wouldn't trade you guys before you posted these... there is such a thing as karma tho..

i have been downloading for hours.. i am overwhelmed here and i cannot give in-depth thoughts on anything i am so Steviefied right now but... Priest of Nothing i think is awesome.. a hidden treasure.. Something Exquisite... omg.. brilliant is your color baby.. i have always loved that song.. so cool to hear an earlier version.. Lady from the Mt.. wow... Channel i was not familiar with.. love that too! You Like Me rocks! another new one to me! LOVE the guitar on the Nightmare... this is not the real world.. cannot pick a fave Imperial or Dragons..omg... i could go on and on... thank you Mike & cohorts again and again

My thoughts exactly. I love the harmonies on this one. And forgive my lack of knowledge about instruments, but what is that harmonica-like sound at 5:15 - reminds me a little of "Straight Back" for that moment.

Hi Jake... I think what you are hearing there is just a synthesizer/keyboard... but it probably is meant to sound like a harmonica or possibly even an accordion. It's funny because the first couple of times I listened through (or as Stevie might say, I listened through it, not to it ), I missed that for some reason... then all of a sudden it was like... hmm... that's an interesting choice!

MikeBise, thanks for your dedication to Stevie's music and your sensitivity and dedication keeping it out of the hands of hoarders, and thanks for sharing. I know it's a bit late to say thank you but better late than never.

Thanks! A LOT of people are involved, but it's ALL about the LOVE of Stevie's music!

I know I have always gotten more enjoyment out of Stevie's unreleased songs when I had someone to talk with them about!

After some time to take these in, there are a few tracks that stand out for me.

I'm really enjoying You Like Me, and would love to have heard a completed version by Stevie. Both cuts of Running Through The Garden are great and probably my favorite of all of these songs. I'm really loving Lady From The Mountain, but not as much I thought I would at first listen.

I was most excited about the Imperial Hotel demos, but after listening to them far too many times to distinguish their differences I burnt myself out on it. Some of the lyrical differences for the released version are great, but if I don't hear these again for a while I'll be ok.

I never thought I'd be saying this but I'm like majorly crushing on Imperial Hotel today . The song could use a few more "baby baby's" though.

Ok so these Imperial Hotels do not sound like RAL, they sound way more BD. Are they for sure RAL demos or did I miss something or high?
