Default Getting Good Seats to See Stevie

So this August I will be seeing Stevie for the first time ever! I plan on going to the show in The Woodlands and want great, if not front row, seats! I know some people wait until the last week to buy tickets, some buy the first second they are released, some buy from StubHub, and I am sure some of you have your own tricks up your sleeve. So if you have scored front row seats, or any seats within the first 10 rows, to see Stevie, how'd you do it and what would you recommend?

I've gotten most of my good seats (rows 1-5) right when they go on sale on the public on sale date. I've only gotten lucky with a presale once (row 2), out of 30 plus times.

Also, during the regular onsale, ticketmaster will usually offer you tickets in rows 15 plus. In my experience though, I've had rows 1-5 pop up after about 13 or so tries. This is buying 2 tickets, BTW. Waiting until a few days before the show sometimes works, but I've never done that myself.

I have had to go through a broker before when nothing came up, but I usually get them through ticketmaster.

Good Luck!

Jamie

i pretty much only buy my concert tickets a week or a few days before the show. i have always got great seats doing this and have pulled up front row a few times as well. i think the worst seat i got was maybe 10th row or so. i would try to get the tickets as soon as they go on sale and if you dont pull up anything good then just wait it out.

This is what I've always done too. It works especially well if you're buying only one ticket. Large blocks of close-up seats are reserved for radio stations, etc and when they don't use them all the seats are released back to Ticketmaster/Live Nation. This happens for every single show. Sometimes the close-up seats drop 2 weeks before the show date, sometimes it's a week, sometimes it's a day. You just have to keep an eye out for them. I've never, ever gotten a seat outside of the first 15 rows by doing this, even with Fleetwood Mac & their arena shows.

I do the same. I got 1st row for the Mac the day before. Every time I've waited till the day before or the day of, I've ended up with 3rd row or closer.

The only times I have ever scored a seat in the first few rows were when I bought the tickets the day of the show. SO stressful.

Me too! but since she is going to Dallas and Houston, I think I will buy a ticket to the Houston show pretty early on and then hold off on Dalas until the end!

A. Don't buy them now (either Ticketmaster or Stubhub)
B. Wait until the week of the show to buy.

This has worked for me since 2003 (15+ Lindsey, Stevie, and Mac shows) and I have always landed in the first 10 rows. It works.

I bought two tickets on Stubhub for the Boston show, 5th row dead center.
Total cost: $411.93

Price Per Ticket: $184.99
Quantity: x 2
____________

Subtotal: $369.98

Service Fee: + $37.00
Delivery Services: + $4.95
____________
Total: $411.93

Free parking comes with these tickets, but I live 12 minutes walking from the place.

On Friday, I will try to purchase two on ticketmaster. Many LiveNation Boston venus allow you to choose the exact you want of those that are available. The center section is gone from presales, Live Nation working directly with secondary market (waiting for the att. general to file suit), but sections 1 & 3 should have some seats in first 10 rows.

How do you know for sure that the center section is gone from presales??
