Default Pollstar Ten Most Expensive Tickets

http://popcrush.com/cher-stevie-nick...ncert-tickets/

1. Paul McCartney, $145.72
2. Cher, $131.22
3. Roger Waters, $125.71
4. Neil Young, $109.05
5. Rod Stewart, $108.71
6. Shen Yun Performing Arts, $107.59
7. Stevie Nicks, $105.62
8. Janet Jackson, $105.35
9. Eagles, $101.73
10. Lady Gaga, $100.78

It looks like you have to have deep pockets to see Cher, Stevie Nicks or Lady Gaga live. The three divas have topped Pollstar’s list of the 10 most expensive concert tickets in North America.

According to Digital Music News, the trade publication’s list was created by taking the ticket average of each performer from the past twelve months. The numbers do not include add-on fees or other surcharges.

Lady Gaga has been out on the road promoting her No. 1 album ‘Born This Way,’ but little monsters are forking over a cool Benjamin to see the pop star’s epic show. According to Pollstar, the average ticket price to see Gaga is $100.78. Hey, those costumes don’t grow on trees.

If you caught Nicks on her Heart & Soul tour, chances are it cost you a pretty penny — even more than it would have to see Gaga. The Fleetwood Mac singer, who just released her seventh studio album, ‘In Your Dreams,’ charges an average of $105.62 per ticket, Pollstar says.

On Feb. 5, Cher ended her three-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, a show that raked in quite a bit of dough during its 192 concerts. Fans of the 65-year-old star shelled out an average of $131.22 to see her turn back time.

The top 10 list also includes the Eagles, Janet Jackson, Rod Stewart Neil Young and Roger Waters, but fans of Paul McCartney have to open their wallets the widest to see the charming Beatle sing. McCartney’s average ticket price tops the rest at $145.72.

This makes me smile!!!!...(even though I'm one of the idiots that keep paying ticket agencies much more than ticket face value)

Low compared to what? Most acts these days don't charge more than $70!

I paid $275 a pop to see Cher in Vegas a bunch of times, Stevie's prices are nothing compared to that (how sad that I now feel that way). Also how sad that 2 out of the 3 people I obsess over are on this list. Hmm.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is just taking the Heart and Soul tour, which was definitely more expensive than just Stevie solo!

The ticket price for Stevie and Rod was $185 when I saw the show earlier this year. That was face value. I expected it to be that high because of Rods stage set up which was pretty big compared to Stevie's which is just a big screen. Although last summers "Not A Tour" for Stevie was $110.
Of course when I saw her on 1986 the tickets were $15.50

I had the same thought at 1st. Then I remembered how much I paid ($175) for her top tier seats at Ceasar's Vegas Show in May, I know the other casino shows were less, but not by much. Heck, even her special Wiltern Bday show was $102.50 for GA

Pollstar has already said that Digital Music News equation is too simple and doesn't accurately reflect each artists true ticket average. Pop Crush mistakenly attributes the list to Pollstar, when it's actually non-entity DMN that improperly defined some numbers from Pollstar. The use of "Pollstar says" implies a report of some kind, but it is DMN, a3 person operation, that sent out a release with list using Pollstar's name for credibility.

Eddie Vedder, Britney Spears and many others have ticket averages above the figures reported here.

20 dollars to stand on the lawn? and if it rains , what fun !

. I can afford the 200 easily , but not ,to see her sing a few new songs ... even Gene $immons isn't Charging $200 for top tier seats unless you buy the Meet and Greet in addition to a ticket that's where they rob you at $750+ and that is only 10- 20 tickets or the buy our guitar we used at the show for between $3600.00 and $5000.oo
