Enchanted & Timespace Alt. Mixes

Hey everyone.

I normally don't listen to Enchanted (besides the goodies that can only be found there) or Timespace. However, I wanted to listen to the tracks on these CDs that got alt mixes done on them. Could anyone give me a list of the songs on Enchanted and Timespace with different mixes then then originally released? Thank you!

Not credited, but on Enchanted, "Battle Of The Dragon" is the 1991 remix Chris Lord-Alge originally did for TimeSpace. It first appeared on the Japanese EP CD, A Hard Game To Play (1991).

"Gold And Braid" is remixed by Chris Lord-Alge on Enchanted, but "Edge Of Seventeen" is not (both Live 1981).

Also from TimeSpace, "Love's A Hard Game To Play" is remixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Album Length and Single Edit Remixes) to significant sound benefit. Both lengths are on the "Love's A Hard Game To Play" promo CD-single, and the Single Remix Edit is on the Japanese EP CD, A Hard Game To Play.

Honestly, I've never paid too much attention to how these are different on TS and Enchanted vs. original release. Without going into too much detail and to save me the effort of having to go back and compare can someone please tell me how the alt. mixes differ from the original? Is there a common theme like they are shorter? Insight!

Thank you so much for the list, Johnny Stew. And thank you also to mike for more info. That rocks, I want to listen to these again! I'm also curious about the differences in the songs, Sapphire. I'm moving my music files and thought I should upload these mixes to my new computer, since I never really listened to them before, except the first time around.

. I felt a little stupid asking but I've never claimed to know everything about Stevie and always want to learn more!!

Additionally, the remaster on all of the album tracks on Enchanted is pretty nice and MUCH better than any of the CD releases (in my opinion), so if you're ripping digital files, this is your raw material.

It's the remastered soundtrack album version, not the remix. The liner notes are actually quite accurate. In the remix, the drums are up front in the mix and everything else particularly the bass are pushed back.

These are the original mixes from Street Angel that Glyn Johns produced. He was the original producer of Street Angel before Stevie fired him. Stevie went back into the studio with new producer Thom Panunzio and remixed the tracks, which became the final product. The original mixes aren't that bad. They're just very simple and stripped down, which actually some fans prefer.
