That's my least favorite too. The "inventive" percussion on the chorus is too busy to me, & the Middle Eastern bits are just empty doodling. Compare the way Patrick Leonard or whoever builds the Middle Easternisms into the very fibre of the song "Frozen" so that the canvas generates an emotional life. In "Caroline," Lindsey is just doodling. It's pretty disposable. Even Tears for Fears could have probably made a better track out of these inchoate ideas.

You & I Part II, purely because You & I Part I is a far superior song, in my opinion. That and it fits so much better with the rest of the album than Part II does.

As most of you know, Lindsey' songs are usually at the bottom of my "like" list. So the only 2 Lindsey-Tango songs I own are "Big Love" and "Family Man".

I don't care for "Big Love". That grunting stuff at the end is well...ya get the point.
Family Man is annoying but kinda catchy!
Caroline is forgettable.
I love "Tango in the Night"! There's something grand and epic about that song.
After listening to both parts of You & I, I do prefer Part 1. However, I don't quite understand why Ledgies are voting for Part 2 just because one prefers Part 1.

Of course these polls are hard decisions for everyone (including me) to make so whatever way you arrive at your vote is good.

Does anybody know the story of the 2 "You & I" songs?

I'm done! Ima gonna hide now.........

I have a soft spot for the Tango album, as it's the first batch of Mac songs I remember hearing. Even though I like it, I went with "You and I." I do think Part I was better.

I don't love everything about 'Big Love', but it will likely always be one of my favorites. It's the first song I ever heard by Fleetwood Mac (knowing I was hearing Fleetwood Mac). It was the first Fleetwood Mac video I ever saw.
'Tango In the Night' is amazing! It's one of Lindsey's best songs. I wish he'd put it in his solo set.
I have always liked 'Caroline'. I'm unsure why people dislike it.
The lyrics for 'Family Man' are definitely not the best. Still, the guitar part at the end works well.
'You and I, Part II', well, it may have worked better if it had been kept as a Christine lead vocal ('Eyes Wide Shut' demo)

'You and I, Part II is not a terrible song, but I think it would have helped it and 'You and I, Part 1' had both been on TITN.

Tango In The Night is superb - I wish they would include it in the FM set when they next tour.

I also wish You and I Pt.I had been included along with Pt.II as I love them both.

I'm thinking that they were going with "You & I, Part 1" as being on the album up until they had to scrub a few tunes to make room for Stevie's trio-o-tripe.

"Superb"?? {belch} PLEASE! It's a bunch of electronic drum masturbation with the guitar solo of "I'm So Afraid" hastily duct-taped onto the end.

Well the poll closes in about 2 1/2 hours. If there is a tie, holidayroad will make the tiebreaking vote after the poll officially closes.
