So, this is funny..

Someone is selling a hand-tinted version of a Stevie photo that I digitally altered and posted here a week ago. The original is actually a scan of one of the many HSW prints I order from him in the mid-'80s. Scanning is the only way to preserve the images printed on cereal box-quality paper. I don't care if people take anything I do, but selling it?

I think I am going to end my posts on this thread since it has failed to generate discussion. I have seen too many of my digitally-altered, edit images show up elsewhere, including eBay. Feel free to take the images and post away, but at least credit The Ledge as the source. The Rock a Little shot where I removed a large of the headdress and lengthened her hair by 10 inches, etc. was taken from here and colorized by someone who is selling it. Someone else is selling 11 x 17 poster prints of just my version on eBay. I forwarded the link to HW, since the underlying work belongs to him.

It's a weird feeling time on the boards right now for some reason and not many are talkative so I wouldn't take it personally. Also I think it's wrong that people snag others' pics and try to sell them elsewhere. I have used pics in my posts before but always tried to give credit if so but I would never try selling them or even know how to really as I have never even used Ebay other than to buy a skirt once or a couple nice shawls a few years ago.

So sorry to hear this issue with your hard work. I enjoy looking at these pics that people find and post! Did not realize the hard work that goes into altering pics that is done and then to have them copied and used elsewhere, even sold, really stinks. It only takes a few people to ruin a good thing, then everyone gets punished for the bad deeds of a few. Seems this happens, unfortunately too much on the internet.

I love what you post in this thread and I am sorry if I have never commented sooner. First off, you're a super cool Ledgie that is well informed on many topics. On this thread in particular, I always look for the latest updates and really enjoy just viewing the hi-res images. Once in a great while, I'll save an image here and there for personal use (not really sure why I do this) and appreciate all the offerings.

I'm a super busy person and sometimes some threads just get lost on me...or I forget to re-look at postings from people that may have replied to a comment I made in a thread. But this thread, I seek out!
