i think i will blame menopause fo this! she didn't mean it. she wasn't in her right state of mind.

or .......

maybe she was trying to de-sexify herself because of the man standing to her left.

or.....

she heard that rumour that if you dress like a biddy all the young boys wanna sit on your lap.

LauraTN on The Ledge
Stevie playing the tambo more like she did on 'The Ghosts are Gone' at the Wiltern.

I remember seeing it in person....it was not the MOST unfortunate thing I have ever seen, but it was not great. The higher neckline made her look shorter and wider. A lower neckline is much more flattering because it elongates her. I remember thinking the skirt she wore was incredibly unfortunate. That combined with the cardigan just did not go well AT ALL. Ya, it basically was a mess.

But, we have to remember that 99% of the pictures taken of her are from an upward angle. That angle is not flattering for ANYONE. But, no excuses for "The Cardigan."

Very true!!! That's about the only thing she could do at this point to make either of those songs slightly interesting to us at a concert.

I've often wondered why she doesn't rework them somewhat. Change the key a bit if she has to. Or else try singing them in a softer voice (like she sings the verses of moonlight on the album) where she is able to more readily access her higher register. Although judging from the video of Moonlight in the recent concert I noticed she didn't use that soft voice during the live version. For some reason I think that she feels like she's got to belt out everything in a concert. I remember having the same complaint during the SYW tour when they closed with Goodbye Baby. I love her soft voice but I don't know where it is in concert!!!

Man I know... she RAISES the key of For What It's Worth live when she reaches the low notes in the studio version easily every time she does Landslide live, but can't lower Rhiannon or Dreams a bit to keep the melodies intact? I don't get it

Yes! I hated the way they ended THE DANCE version of the song with him holding that one note. Very lame.

Christine is more like a MASSIVE thing that I miss. Dull throbbing ache.

I would.
And she wore it to appearances where Lindsey was not even present. Don't tell me that it was just because it was the only thing that could fit her and Margi had a broken arm and couldn't whip something else up on short notice.

-the long crazy awesome howl in "edge of 17"
-her rocking screaming "rhiannon"
-her dad introducing her onto the stage..i saw this on "bella donna" and "wild heart" tour...priceless
-AND YES...CHRISTINE..will always love her "songbird" wat an epic song THAT is
