Default RS6 Guitar

Does anyone here have the Turner Renaissance RS6 that Lindsey uses? I've been toying with getting one and was hoping for some feedback.

I like the sound when Lindsey uses them but I was hoping anyone with one could post some audio clips of the dry input from the guitar to hear for myself how it sounds without being played through amps and effects.

Thanks!

Here's the thing.... Lindsey playing it and me playing it are like night and day.
It's about 65% the guitar and 35%the fingers playing it. Mayby more depending on how much your style is to that of Lindseys.
I enjoy playing my RS6 much more than my model 1 simply because i find it much more easier to play. It is the easiet guitar to play EVER!!

I would totally recommend getting one it is an absolutely awsome guitar in its own right, it sounds so clean, clear and acoustic you would be surprised.
However, dont substitute it for a real acoustic though because its not, but saying that i think its better in many regards.

If you want the Lindsey Sound you need a M1, RS6, Gibson Chet Atkins and a Taylor Grand acoustic, however most of these guitars have been modified by Rick Turner to include Roland Synths and other tasty little bits.

Having said all hat just get an RS6 it is awsome. Im too shy to post my Rs6 clips but its a great guitar

Peetsie.......!!!!!!
I replied to this without reading who posted it.

YOU HAVE TO GET AN RS6....You are class on the guitar and have totally worked lindseys stuff out. If you are a lefty you can come down and play mine before you buy.
I have a mesa boogie GT6 effects pedal so if all that doesnt get what what you want your fecked.

There was one in a PAWN shop (of all places) a few miles from my house, they STILL wanted over $1,500 for it (WTF!!!). It was in nearly "new" condition...the strings were pretty oxidized, though...but the neck was great and the overall condition of the guitar showed it seemed to have been well cared for. Whoever pawned it must've really had some hard times...I'd still be dragging my M1 around with me in my shopping cart if I ever became homeless. But, the $1,500 price tag was WAY more than it was worth...a couple of weeks later, I saw that Guitar Center had a used one that was in even BETTER condition that they were selling for only $999!!

All that said though, I'd probably prefer just going directly to Rick to get one, so I can have him match the finish with my M1 (oh, and also the matching RN-6, too) Ok, so I want (at LEAST) one of each guitar Rick Turner makes (that includes the ukelele with onboard electronics, too)...all matching sunburst finishes. Now, I've got the "want list", time to figure out how to AFFORD them.

Also on the wish list:

Reverend Rick Vito signature model (the first one)
Reverend Rick Vito signature model (the current one)
Gibson '59 Les Paul reissue
Epiphone CE acoustic (the Epi version of the Gibson Chet Atkins)
Gibson ES-335 "fat neck" (cherry red, the ONLY finish a 335 should be)
Alvarez-Yairi WY1K acoustic

Any chance either of you could post some clips? Just some picks and strums so I can get an idea of how it sounds. The only reason I'm holding back on putting an order in until I hear the unprocessed sound.

Merci beaucoup! If you've got the facilities then a clip of the guitar direct into the computer would be helpful but clean through an amp should give me more than a good enough idea.

Nope, I actually had to buy a new laptop so I'll have to wait for a while before I can put an order in for the guitar.

I think maybe September or October if I don't decide to fly to the US to see some Lindsey shows. I've just got to save for a while to get it. Thankfully I'll be doing a PhD for the next three years so I'll be living like a student (i.e. as cheaply as possible) and the guitar should be within my budget.

I'm back to considering getting one of these guitars. I got in touch with a guitar shop in the US and they said they were expecting on in from Rick in a week or two. It's coming up to two months now and they are still waiting to get something from him. I know it's not the shop's fault that delivery is slow but I'm really considering going somewhere else to get one. I've seen a couple of nice ones online and as long as they ship to the UK I could get one.

I've also emailed Rick's sales address to get an ETA on one direct. I'd quite like to get one directly incase I ever need something done. I've heard Rick can be pretty slow. Is this accurate?

i believe erwk05 may have a lot of experience with ordering guitars from Rick directly; plus she can probably give you some additional insight.
