I know you all hate me.but She probably have better chances if she should saddle up on her horse and take a route down those country roads on to the country charts.then she might get a hit.

For What it's Worth could be released to country as well.If I remember correctly both Leather and Lace and After the Glitter Fades both made the country charts.

I agree with that! Even the song In Your Dreams could pass as country pop.

"Moonlight" is my favorite, but "IYD" is the most radio friendly so I chose that.

Well, SN is dropping off the charts so we should know something soon. RR Online does not have her new single listed as an upcoming add-on to the AC or AAA radio playlists for the next two weeks, but I suppose that could change.

Whatever the single is, Stevie needs to nix the concerts for a short time while and promote the second single on TV and radio talk shows.

WB & Stevie need to act quickly and release a new single & music video ASAP! Secret Love has begun it's decent after peaking at #20 on the Billboard AC charts. And In Your Dreams is also decending quickly, after debuting high at #6, dropping LW to #16, and this week we find it falling out of the top 20 Billboard album charts landing at @#22 with # 15K+ units sold.

I agree with most that the next single should be In You Dreams, Moonlight or For What It's Worth. But unless they can do a decent single edit/remix for Moonlight (and possibly also a DJ dance/remix) to give the song & Stevie more attention in clubs as they did with POTU), Otherwise I think the next single should be In Your Dreams - showing off Stevie's more Tom Pettyishrockin' and catchy side, or do a total left turn with releasing For What It's Worth- which could be successful in the same way that Landslide, Leather & Lace or Silver Springs were - a poignant, simple and beautifully sung song right in Stevie's sweet spot.

The song I feel strongly that that they shoud not release imo is Annabel Lee. Other than her singing on the chorus and the end of the song, I find the verses to be sung in Stevie's "craggy" flat voice which reminds me of her vocals on many songs off TISL or SYW. Besides the song itself is sort of a novelty being that it's adapted from Edgar Allen Poe's famous poem.

I agree with everything you said here, except I'd add You May Be The One to the list of potential fabulous singles. It might be just that I've fallen so hard for the song, or it might be that it's truly great - but it's another one of those songs that has lyrics that I beleive people can/will relate to personally, and that's how classics are born.

I really do think Mama has an audience in Country and she can still do her rock songs too and get away with it. In Your Dreams should be the next single and it can cross over to pop/rock/country stations but every time she puts a new cd out its like lets not promote it I have called radio stations and sent them emails and got no response i think the stations rather play her old stuff than her new stuff. I have not hear one song on the radio of hers from the new album In Your Dreams. They need to get her on all the shows the view, the talk, the morning shows on cbs, nbc, fox news, cnn wherever she can get it.It would have been cool if Glee did some songs from Stevie's new cd and advertise on it too also they should have adverstise her new cd when they did the rumours FM show.

I feel Stevie's publists and record label and manager don't give her confidence when releasing a new cd either. You figure you want to promote a great album from a legend that her new album is excellent maybe Stevie should have done a duet with Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber on her new cd to get some radio play.

Stevie most definitely has a country audience, but its the country disk jockeys she has to get past

I agree with you Karma, I was going to list YMBTO (which has 4 lovely verses, of which I would edit out the 3rd verse for a radio edit) along with IYD & FWIW as being the *best* potential singles because of their relatable and universal quality as well as being fantastic classic sounding songs.

If you think back on all of Stevie's great solo break out hits esp. from her 1st 3 solo albums, they were all universal and relatable themed singles. Songs like Stop Dragging My Heart Around, Leather & Lace, Stand Back to If Anyone Falls & Talk To Me were accessible 1st and 2nd choices with great hooks. Usually her later singles and deeper cuts featured Stevie's esoteric and whimsical side i.e., Edge Of Seventeen and Nightbird. This is why I think Stevie needs something along the lines of IYD, FWIW or YMBTO before releasing Moonlight. Warners & Stevie need to strongly get behind a new single and quick. Stevie best chances of selling more copies of IYD is going to rely strongly on her getting some additional airplay and stronger TV performances of a captivating single. SL was a decent choice for a single, but it did not translate well on stage and even worse on TV performances
