Least Favorite Christine song from Mirage

[Hawkeye]

They're all equally Eh, so I went with Hold Me since I never got the appeal of it whatsoever. Love In Store is the only one I like at all.

[YoungAmericans]

just like with Lindsey's songs, I find something really really undesirable and just flat out bad about Christine's songs on Mirage.

I used to really hate OOY, but it has grown on me, through the years....but it's still my least favorite. It's just too sleepy.

I've always found Only Over You really interesting. I think it's in the Mixolydian mode, so it's major but there's this weird unresolved dreamy feeling. They REALLY should have done a double-take on that first "OUT" of my mind though. It's supposed to be a C but she hit a C# Love In Store is nice, Wish You Were Here is so-and-so... never liked Hold Me, though it's way better live.

Haven't heard any of these, except Hold Me which I love love love love, so I can't vote in this one!

"Hold Me" gets my vote. The only one I really like a lot is WYWH.

I really like Only Over You. Actually, I don't think any of her songs on this album are awful - one of the reasons I avoided this album for so long is b/c so many Ledgies said they hated hers & LB's songs on it. I'm not listening to you guys anymore.

Anyway, my vote was for WYWH. It's not terrible, but not a favorite either.

I really like all of these songs, but the one I enjoy the least is "Only Over You".

[michelej1]

I like Hold Me better than 95% of all Mac songs, period. Dee-licious.

My vote: WYWH.

Rotten lyrics, a melody without a good hook, sodden orchestration, no cool ideas going on, bad playing (particularly on the tag out), & a bridge that compounds all those problems tenfold.

OOY has many of Christine's strengths, like the singular singing style (listen to the signature way she sings "gone" in "I miss you when you're gone"). HM is about as charming as pop has been since the lads from Liverpool.

Haha.. it's funny I love the outro... tiny little jam in there sends me off to listen to Tango.. the next chapter..

I honestly love them all but I went with Only Over You. I guess I love that one the least. I don't think there are any FM songs I actually dislike so these polls are hard for me.
