Seeing Cheaper Than Free come into being as a gleam in Reese's eye is like watching the Hindenburg get polished prior to flight.

yeah CTF does not have the most profound lyrics but I don't get all the hate. It is a simple, sweet love song that kinda reminds me of a Christine song.

Dallas Taylor does drug interventions and counseling in Beverly Hills now. He's had a liver transplant and has been drug free for 25 years. Now, I am an interventionist in LA California; For the past 24 years I have worked in the field of Addiction and I help people with alcohol and chemical dependency."

So, mystery solved - about the "drummer" anyway...

i'm glad to hear it was not russ. i was going to say how horrible it would be for stevie to tell the world it was russ. even if his wife has passed away, i'm sure it would be horrible for her family and friends (and kid) to hear her husband cheated on her. considering stevie says she would never write a tell-all book because she wouldn't want to hurt anyone.

but, was this dallas taylor married?or dating someone (left my girlfriend)?

I guess I am drastically in the minority here, but I really love "Cheaper Than Free." I think it is a very simple and beautiful love song and a really good way to end the album. I like the ending of this album with CTF better than I liked "Love Is" ending TISL.

For a second I thought this was the actual documentary itself and now realise it's just 2 trailers. Thank God! Half the songs on the album arn't even discussed and you only get glimpses of each video. It all looks spectacular so I can't wait to see it all! Any word on if/when we'll see it and how it will be released?

I don't know what his relationship status was during that time. I would bet $100 bucks she wasn't involved with him romantically. It's an absurd thought to me. He was just the interventionist/counselor.

As she said, "In rehab, when you're leaving, the last thing they say to you is, 'Don't get married, don't sign contracts, don't buy a house, don't sell a house. Nothing heavy.' Because your judgment is impaired."

I believe Mr. Taylor takes what he does seriously and would not jeopardize Stevie's sobriety or his professional credentials by engaging in an affair with her during one of the most vulnerable times of her life. Sadly, let's not forget she was a very sick woman.

And, this may be a shocker but Stevie may not have slept with every guy she's ever met or included in one of her songs.

I like when Mick hears SL and asks Stevie if the demo was on one of the tapes she had given him as if he had never heard it before.

I think it proves that when stevie was/in FM, she was so over looked as a song supplier that they just over looked a lot of her work and picked a few things that Lins & Chris wanted to be apart of..."was this on the tape you gave me??" oh mick...

I just wish stevie was doing this 10 years ago...I mean we are NEVER gonna get another cd from her...

Unless the sales for this CD pick up, I'm afraid you're right.

Gasp. You've just slapped Christine across the face with your glove. Name your second and your weapon!

Even if Christine was guilty of lies, sweet little lies, musically I don't think she was ever that uninspired. She would have put a nice little hooky keyboard riff into CTF, if nothing else. Secondly, not even that dame would sink to discussing the love into which she fell in question and answer couplets I haven't heard since I packed my Mother Goose's nursery rhymes into storage.
