Default Debbie Harry covering The Chain

Yeah, I thought this was wonderfully bizarre. I'm sorry if someone posted this before.

what the hell was Deborah Harry doing at NOTS?!!
The thing they did with the chain during the bridge made me laugh so hard. Genius!
Thank you for sharing.

omg lol.

debbie harry was my first love in '79 before "discovering" stevie in '81. i remember buying the "heart of glass" 45 back then. i was with my best friend and we were at a mall and then went back to his mom's huge-ass station wagon and were playing around in it waiting for his mom to come back. i accidentally SAT on the 45 and it broke in half! I got teared up and went back into the record store trying to convince them to GIVE me a replacement. They didn't. I think I had fork over a mere $1.10 or something for a new one.

Speaking of Debbie, what's happening with Blondie's new album? Panic of Girls I think was the title.

It sounds like Debbie Harry, but you never see her face...hmmm. Don't be fooled, it's not her! And logically, why would she be at a Stevie tribute event, not singing her own songs, dueting with someone who can't sing? It's two friends who put on the same bad wigs. One happens to have the ability to mimic Debbie's voice. Remember, this is night of imposters.

She actually did show up in 2005. I remember reading about it...here is a link to some more pics I found.

Where are the pictures of Debbie? I must say that there is one picture, seventh from the top row, that looks just like Stevie! Amazing, especially since it's a man. It's a very rare possibility that Debbie attended this event, but it's not her in that clip. Has any other famous singer attended? What would be the motivation for that? Show me a definitive picture of Debbie at the event, then I will believe it!

Sanne posted the pics above. I was there that year. Debbie was there and performed The Chain. Believe it. Nobody knew it was Debbie til after the performance was over.

Nice! That's Debbie Harry! But it wasn't her in that other clip, in a plain white shirt with short hair (with the other bad singer). ??

Really enjoyed the cover! Debbie is another favorite of mine. To On Ice to asked about the new Blondie album, "Panic of Girls", it's coming out in the UK on July 4. But if you buy the "Panic of Girls" Fan Pack, it's being released June 30 and you get the CD w/2 bonus tracks, poster of the album cover, 4 post cards, 5 buttons and a 132 Blondie magazine.

It IS her performing The Chain (the other 'bad singer' she's performing with is Guy Furrow, who is the person on the far left in the second photo above) trust me I would know if someone was Debbie or not. She gets drowned out in the video a lot unfortunately. She stood in with Goonsquad and part of their image are the crazy wigs and outfits, and to sing odd.

She went to the tribute before in 2005 obviously as proven in the photos, and as for the night they did The Chain it was all over the place talking about her being there. Nobody even knew it was her until after the event which was the surprise. I've got photos of her backstage after the performance.

It's being released in the UK first, the first single was just released today and there's an awesome fan pack that's released June 1st. http://www.myfavouritemagazines.co.u...rock-fan-pack/ I can't wait to get it, and the US CD release is coming in September.
