I think about this everytime I hear the song...the ending for SL is just totally odd and I really don't think that helped to encourage radio airplay. One thing you can say for Dave, he did something you never hear on the radio..that weird ending. Too bad SL didn't do better.

I would think she can do Moonlight, but only if she lets that natural vocal take over instead of the forced vocal she uses for live performances these days.
do you know where i can find that clip?

In Your Dreams should have been the first single definetly should be the next single. It can go on pop/rock stations and country stations too. so start calling up the stations to play it.

As time goes by, I am more inclined to believe In Your Dreams should be the next single for the reasons you stated. Her audience is AC, AAA and even country...the way it is these days. And country opens up a huge, huge audience.

Annabel Lee is great, but I think she needs an uptempo tune after Secret Love. Save that for the next single.

The whole Moonlight thing with the younger audience is too big of a risk.

Moonlight should be.

My Mom, who doesn't care for modern Stevie, actually likes Moonlight. Being the only one she does. So if it impresses her, I think it would get a good response as the second single.

I've given the CD to 9 people who are Nicks fans but haven't bought her albums in years. I haven't heard back from all of them, but here are some reactions so far:

2 people both picked "Secret Love" and "Moonlight" as the best songs.
1 person picked "For What It's Worth" and "Cheaper Than Free" as the best songs.
1 person picked "Soldier's Angel" as the best song.

I think In Your Dreams or Moonlight would be nice.
Maybe WSS...
but I really really think Ghosts are Gone would make a terrible single.

I don't think that bodes well for the album. If a group of people can't choose a song that they absolutely love, that's not good to me.

I really like this album ALOT, but what if each song is just a small step down from a hit. Who knows.

Steven Tyler has a video out for his song. I wonder where it is going to get played.

But do you think if was asked what everyones favorite song off Rumours or Bella Donna is, everyone would answer exactly the same?

I don't think so. The fact that there are multiple songs that people think are the best would seem to imply that there are multiple songs that are actually very good and appeal to different peoples tastes. That seems like a good thing to me, the wide appeal..

He will probably get played a little on MTV or VH1 (at the odd hours in the middle of a random night that they actually PLAY music videos, so not often), but I think most people get viewed from YouTube nowadays.

For What It's Worth - best song on the album. I think it could be as popular as Leather & Lace.
Reminds me of an old Jimmy Webb/Glenn Campbell song
New Orleans - gets under your skin. A great song.
In Your Dreams - good summer radio song.

I think she could do really well with For What It's Worth...I don't think mainstream America wants her to attempt to rock on the radio...I think they want her in wise "grandmother of rock" Landslide-ballad mode.

I voted when the poll went up for IYD but after many, many more listens I'm in starting to find myself agreeing with what people are saying about FWIW..It's easily one of the best things she's written in the last 25 years and has 'classic" written all over it.
