My Greenville review. (Sick of me yet?)

A couple months ago, I asked my friend Harry how far Greenville was from Atlanta. He said, 'Three hours, straight shot.' So I decide I'm going if I can get a decent ticket. Of course, the fan club couldn't help me out there, so once again I have to hope for a Ticketmaster Miracle ™. I finally got it last week. Fourth row on Lindsey's side.

I had a fairly uneventful drive up, except for the guy in the ugly red car with the license plate PPD 1211. If you know this guy, please give him a swift kick in the pants and tell him to pick a speed and stick with it. I get SO tired of having to pass the same damn car 58 times an hour.

I got to the venue just early enough to go through security. Yes, I was wanded and my purse was thoroughly 'searched' and they never noticed my camera. I get to the front of the line and find out that Will Call is on the other side of the building. So I go over and get in line again, and several people in front of me are complaining that none of their tickets will scan. I move to the other line and give the lady my ID and credit card and she swipes the latter and it doesn't work. I think I burnt it out. I had my confirmation number, so she was able to give me my ticket with that. I turn around and head back towards the security line, thinking I might not be so lucky the second time around. Someone calls my name and I look up and there is Mike B. I am always completely oblivous to my surroundings, but he always manages to spot me. He introduces me to his friend, Tim (who is not a crazy fan like we are) and we chat for a minute, then I get back in the same security line I did before. The first guy barely looks at my bag and the wander recognized me and waved me through. Now, it had taken me about 15-20 minutes to get through the Will Call line. I could have gone back to my car and filled my granny panties with guns, knives and ammo and they just waved me through. I guess looking completely harmless has its advantages.

I go down to my spot in the fourth row and a few minutes later Mike and Tim make their way to their second row seats directly in front of me. A little after that, Jan and Christie show up, a few rows behind me. I had met Mike, Jan and Christie at the first Atlanta TiSL show when they sold me their extra ticket. How does this always happen? It's that old Mac magic. It's so strange to go to a concert by yourself, and I ended up being anything but alone

The crickets start singing, the lights go down and the crowd is on its feet, cheering. The band takes the stage and I'm clapping and thinking to myself, "I love these people." Stevie has her tamborine out and its fun to watch her raise it over her head to smack it against her palm. Then John's solo kicks in and Lindsey is singing, 'run run run run!' I am at a Fleetwood Mac concert. That's Fleetwood Mac up there ROCKING the place. How lucky are we to get to see it again?

Stevie welcomes us and starts singing Dreams. Very pretty. Stevie is not very animated during this song, but she sings it so well. Lindsey does Peacekeeper. So I sway and wait for the concert to kick into high gear

Mick starts banging away and I know it's time for Eyes of the World. Ok, now we can get started. It's one of my highlights, every night. Lindsey and Stevie must feel the same way because you can see it in their faces when they're performing. Remember the demo of this song before it had lyrics? Lindsey was kind of humming along and Stevie was writing Enchanted to the melody, I think, because she was singing the 'I hope you make it' part. Sometimes I sing Enchanted along to it So I think they both have strong connections to the song. The audience certainly enjoys it, whether or not they recognize it from the Mirage album. Stevie gets so still to hold the 'Eyes...' part and Lindsey is pouncing on his mic to sing his own 'Eyes'.

Stevie steps up to the mic and says something like, 'This is another song off our new record, except this one is called Say You Will.' I think this one gets better every time. The quiet part at the end always gets me. LOVE it. The crowd responds extremely well to the song. WHEN is it going to be released as a single??? Oh, and every time Stevie sang 'if I can get you to dance' she circled her hand around in her trademarked fishing move that she's been doing at least since the Rock a Little tour

I think it was during the intro for Never Going Back Again that Stevie was standing over next to Brett and chatting with him for a minute (after she'd changed into her Rhiannon outfit). They were laughing about something. Most people recognize the first few notes and cheer. If I had any writing ability, I'd know a better way to say, 'I love this song.' Cause it's more than that, you know? Cause I love pizza, too, but pizza doesn't make me want to hug everyone around me and it doesn't make my toes tingle. And I know I've said it before, but how beautiful is Stevie's harmony on this song? Well, raise the bar because it gets better every time I hear it.

Rhiannon starts and the crowd goes nuts. They NEED to hear this one live every time. Yes, she does the bat wings and then hugs them to herself for the quiet 'dreams unwind' part.

Come. Isn't that all I have to say? (You know me better than that by now I was shocked to see the crowd sit down when it started. They didn't know what was about to hit them. Lindsey put his arm around the microphone stand, like he was leaning on its shoulder to sing the opening. Have you ever wanted to be a microphone stand? Anyway, he was giving the finger to as many folks as he could. I don't know how he can do this night after night, but he definitely gets satisfaction out of breaking those guitar strings, doesn't he? And FINALLY the rest of the crowd got off their asses and gave the man the ovation he deserved. He raised his guitar over his head again. Hi, Lindsey's belly I thought he was going to strangle himself with his guitar strap. He lets himself soak up the applause for a few seconds then switches out guitars for the next song.

Lindsey is still out of breath when he starts playing Gypsy. It's still so jarring to go from the ferocity of Come to this mellow performance of Gypsy, but I love the song and Stevie sings it so sweetly now. And Lindsey is singing to the crowd again. He did this during most of Stevie's songs.

The banner drops down and Lindsey intros Big Love. I wish I could bottle the feeling I get during his performance. I always sing Stevie's harmony

Stevie comes back out and says, 'We would like to dedicate this to Catalina (that's not the right name, but it was Cat something, I think). We hope she gets better and better. (pause) And better and better.' The crowd needs this one, too. Beautiful. Stevie must have read my Nashville review, because she held the 'well maybe' longer tonight. Then she put her hands on her hips and looked over to Lindsey with this priceless look on her face like she was saying, 'So there!' She milked it a *little* but it's still not long enough Stevie. Make us beg for it! They hugged at the end, and stood there for a second then Lindsey gave her a peck on the forehead.

So you face yesterday. I must love this song too much because something stupid always has to happen during it. The jackass in front of me chooses the quietest moment of the song to exclaim, 'He looks just like Art Garfunkel! HA HA.' He thought it was so funny, he said it twice. I resisted the urge to smack him in the back of the head, but it was hard. And I wish they could get the sound right on the song, because some of the notes Lindsey is hitting actually hurt my ears when amplified the way they are. It's on key, it's just LOUD. But they always perform it flawlessly. During The Dance, there were still moments where it seemed like they were still angry at each other...the bittersweet still had a lot of bitter in it. Well, I'm not seeing that at all during any of these concerts. They look at each other throughout many of the songs and you can see that they care about each other and are giving each other their full support. It reinforces my faith in (no, not cycles) humanity.

I enjoyed What's the World Coming To again. I like it better than Peacekeeper It's fun to sing along to the nah nah nahs.

Stevie introduced Beautiful Child. Most people had been sitting since Say Goodbye and only a few got up for the end of WTWCT. A lot of people had their lighters out for Landslide and this song. Lindsey sings his harmony so sweetly. I love how Stevie holds the ooohs/well at the end. She throws her head back to sing it

Second Hand News always makes me want to shout for joy. It's always fun, always well done. Bam bam bam.

Ok. I thought Stevie was into Gold Dust Woman in Nashville, but tonight she was howling at the end! Stevie did air drums. She did the arm movements and covered her face and she held the pose in front of Mick's drumset again. I think it was the end of this song that Stevie was looking at Mick and he put a drumstick in his mouth and grimaced at her with his big ole bug eyes. It almost made me like him again.

I can't remember which song, but the lights had already gone down and Mick very gingerly led Stevie off the stage for whichever Lindsey song was next.

He also loves his part in So Afraid. He and Mick face off and Mick makes a big show of banging the drums. Ok, Lindsey. You have finally won me over with this song. I give. You rock. And it's fun to watch Lindsey watching Mick as they prepare for the big finish. Lindsey held his guitar up again in preparation to hit the last note and I think he had to wait another beat before slamming it back down again.

Stevie was more into Silver Springs than I've seen at any other concert. She played air piano during the intro, she played air drums during the middle, she put her arm over her face, hand closed and turned out covering her eyes and twirled around. She came close to The Dance level of intensity at the end of the song. She was singing the hell out of it. At the end, she said, "You remembered." again. It was almost an afterthought.

Tusk kicks in and I can't wait to see what Lindsey is going to do this time. Stevie is over behind her mic, getting ready. She looks pretty serene, tamborine at the ready. Lindsey works himself into a frenzy and races around the stage. He makes a huge circle around John and I think he's going to swing over to Stevie, but he zeros in on John and Tusks him. Then he makes his way over to Stevie and makes a big show of Tusking her. You know she loves it, even if he messes up her hair

Stand Back. I think Lindsey enjoys playing this one. He just had this smile on his face like, 'I'll show you how it should be done.' He sang it again to some other lucky fans. And Stevie twirled and twirled, cape flying around her.

Lindsey let several fans play his guitar during Go Your Own Way. He was nodding to them and smiling as they strummed. Why hasn't Rolling Stone seen this guy for the guitar hero he is? They need to put him on a cover already. Lindsey does this shuffle thing back and forth on each foot. Chuck Berry, watch out. Love to see him get up on Mick's drums and bang away on those cymbals. He was waiting on Mick again before jumping off for the big finish. He shook a lot of hands before leaving the stage. He signed autographs for a few people, too. Bring your CDs and Sharpies if you're in the front row.

Someone threw a cape or a blanket around Mick's shoulders as he was leaving the stage before the encore.

They are so ON for World Turning. Stevie slams away on her tamborine. She sounds so good, too. Lindsey went over to the side of the stage for Mick's solo and I couldn't watch him because he was behind whatever the equipment is on his side of the stage. I could only see the top of his afro bobbing. Towards the end of Mick's interminable babblings, Lindsey crawls over to the edge of the stage and shakes a few more people's hands. He finally gets up and starts to play and Stevie comes back onstage. Love the big finish.

Mick does the band intros. If we had a tourbook, I'd know the secret weapon's name...Tacum? I don't know, but he's great. Stevie always bows down to Brett.

Don't Stop is fun again. I wish they wouldn't. They leave again. Lindsey touches more fans on the way out.

Stevie has her pink cape on. Mick's baby drums are out and he starts playing. Lindsey looks sweet. Stevie bowed her head at the end and held it there for several seconds. The lights came up and they take their bows. Lindsey's shaking hands and signing autographs. I thought Stevie was going to leave the stage, but she heads back over and shakes a couple of people's hands then comes over to our side and shakes someone else's hands. She hasn't been doing that too much, so I'm sure they were thrilled!

I saw Torri after the show and Jan and Christie got to meet her. She's a legend. Security once again kicked us out. I made my way to the car and there was so much traffic that I just waited for about thirty minutes for them to clear out. When I finally get around to the other side of the stadium on my way to the expressway, I see police cars and three white limos. There are fans screaming and people are blowing horns as they drive past. One of the limos had the window down and I can see a man in a white baseball cap looking out. Do you think it was John?? I am now convinced that anything is possible.

Sounds like you had an amazing two nights! I am sorry that I missed meeting you in Nashville, but i think I actually saw you as we all took our seat and I knew Strand was beside you. I was 4 rows back behind you.

You make me want to like, sell my possessions, grab all my Fleetwood Mac friends, buy a crappy scooby doo type van and follow them around the rest of the tour...lol. I just watched my DC bootleg then came on here to read this and I'm like I can't wait to find out dates for the extended leg/second leg of the tour. Please do come back to the North East Fleetwood Mac!!! Thanks for the awesome review girlie!!! Glad you had an awesome time and made it there safely despite a certain red vehicle

I know exactly what you're talking about when he wraps his hand around the mic and stand during Come. Oh yeah, I'd love to be that mic stand

As the concert progresses and you watch Lindsey play on every song, after a song like Come you watch him flawlessly ease into Gypsy and wonder how the heck does he do that! Genius, and he's The Guitar God!

I totally agree about WTWCT, I think it's such a fun song live and it's becoming one of my favorites in the set to sing along to.

Stevie's Say You Will hand movement is not new? The one where she holds her arm up and twirls her wrist around? I was doing it right along and she smiled and loved it and I couldn't stop twirling my wrist all night.

It's like watching a movie! "Hi, Lindsey's belly," had me howling! Thank you so much for taking the time to write these amazing epics up. This tour is clearly amazing! Yes, Stevie's single must get out soon. Stevie and Lindsey have managed to get all the fans up and dancing again. Fleetwood Mac ROCKS!

I agree Cour, there's no way that Sara could miss this tour. In fact, I'm thinking Tracy should personally haul out and escort her to the show. Image that!
